  Nice stay

  The first time for us in this hotel, the last 7 times we stayed in Boglerhof. You cant really compare both but we were surprised in a pleasant way.... we booked last minute so had to take the only room that was left but it was more than ok....we loved the interior, the staff was very friendly .. the food was very good not so refined as in boglerhof but that didnt matter....breakfast was alsay very good the only thing I missed was cottage cheese...especially from the alps.... overall we really loved our stay and will return in the future

  Hit and Miss

  My husband and I have recently returned from a stay at this hotel. Firstly, I think the hotel is better described as a restaurant with rooms rather than a hotel as there is no lounge area and although there is a garden,swimming pool and sauna, these areas are rather unattractive and uncared-for. Disappointingly, the hotel has no obvious management presence and the staff on reception were not very friendly. We did not feel like valued guests. Our room was fairly large with a sofa and large balcony although it was quite dark as it was under the eaves. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom fine. The best thing about our stay was the food at dinner. The chef really knows how to cook and the food was delicious. Breakfast was a little strange as hot food only appeared towards the end of our stay as guests arrived for the Alpbach Forum. This made us feel a little like second-class guests as did the evening when we were asked to take our evening meal in the 'Stube' sitting at a table with other British guests. Once they were gone, they were replaced by a couple who arrived to eat à la carte. This made us feel very uncomfortable! Needless to say we will not be returning to this hotel although I can recommend the food in the restaurant. In addition, Alpach's church rings its bells every morning at 7am which is a little disturbing and the Post Hotel is situated near a busy corner so there is quite a bit of traffic noise.

  3rd Visit in 6 Years

  What can I say.... Thank you so much for yet another fabulous holiday. Alpbach is our special place where we came on honeymoon. We decided on your hotel for our 25th Anniversary and you made it wonderful, then last year was our 30th Anniversary, I secretly contacted your wonderful staff to arrange for us to have our wedding vows blessed by the priest and they kindly did for me. We were in the same room as before, we also met some wonderful people, who we are still in touch with. As we'd left to come home last year we were both very upset to be leaving, and within a week we booked for this year. Again we personally asked for a certain room, which your staff sorted for us. How wonderful we found it to walk in this year and staff remembered us. And on the Sunday a member of staff who helped me with my secret last year came straight over to give me a hug when she saw me by the church. Alpbach is the most beautiful place ever, we love to be able to come and just relax away from our hectic jobs. The food is outstanding and all credit to your chef, as nothing was too much trouble to let my husband change things as he is the most fussy eater ever, but he loved his food. We enjoyed sitting by the pool area, it was quiet, lots of pretty greenery and the pool was cleaned every day. Also a holiday maker we met last year was there for our first week. We did get chatting to other guests too, and had a lovely tea with them. Your staff are very polite, attentive, friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. Thank you so much again for an amazing holiday, see you again as we will be coming back. Xxxx

  Good hotel for good money

  This hotel has a great atmosphere. The room is nice, staff is nice and it is not so expensive accommodation. We liked it very much, becouse friendly staff is the basic element for guest comfortable feeling. And the room was really nice.

  Good deal for the money

  I stayed at the hotel for the weekend. Some rooms were renovated, other still have the old flair. Very clean, with a small sauna and swimming pool to relax on hot weather. Service is ok, and they tried to make out stay most comfortable in spite of the COVID constraints. It is located near the nicest area from Alpbach (close tonthe church), very pitoresc on one side, but also you hear can hear some traffic in the night. The view is great.
