Excellent in every wayWe were stranded for 36 hours at this hotel last week when the surrounding villages were flooded, fortunately for us it was a great place to be stuck! It was very clean, nice sized comfortable room, large (but wet...) balcony, and for the first time in Germany we had tea/coffee making things in the room. The whole village was very quiet, but I think even when the village is busy the hotel would still not be noisy as it is a 2 minute walk out of town. Breakfast was very good, nice selection and plenty of everything. Excellent coffee. Although very small, the hotel has a pool & sauna, and also a kind of lounge which is stocked with (lots and lots) of alcohol, a coffee machine, snacks, books etc which you take on an 'honesty basis' which I really liked. Payment was cash-only which was a bit embarrassing as we checked out because we didn't know so had to do a mad-dash to the bank to draw out cash. Loved Reit Im Winkl, loved the B&B, we will definitely be back.

Excellent place to stay!Very impressed with this 'small but perfectly formed' hotel. Appartment and facilities of a high standard and young hosts friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hotel has a superb location with restaurants, sports facilities and transport in easy reach. The Postillon represents excellent value for money and I would recommend it highly to anyone visiting this beautiful part of Germany.

Almost got a 5...Allergy and wellness are the downfallGreat place to enjoy some piece and quiet in the Alps. The owners are friendly and accommodating. One thing that is really worth mentioning is the breakfast buffet, eggs, cold cuts, yogurts, fruit, cheeses, rolls, juices, ....fantastic selection. The hotel is very conveniently located just a few hundred meters from the little village center. Ask for a room overlooking the backyard....alpine peaks all around, beautiful views. We would have rated this hotel with a maximum 5, if it wasn't for the gluten free diet and non-feather pillows that could not be accommodated. If you do need gluten free bread, cereal, etc. there is a "Drogerie Purner, Reformhaus" behind the church in the village, which offers a great selection. We called prior to our arrival and picked it up on our first day. The non-feather pillows are available at the hotel, however we never received them upon our request. Ask prior to your arrival. Overall we had a fabulous time and would definitely return.

alpine heartComfortable stay in a welcoming inn. The rooms were spacious and clean. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony taking in the wonderful summer alpine views. There is no elevator, so it may be an issue if you have heavy pieces of luggage.

Highly over ratedIf you are looking for a friendly welcome don't show up at 5:01pm. I would rate this hotel average, except for the lack of courtesy by the host. We flew from the USA and immediately went to this hotel because it was so highly rated. The room key was stuck to the office door, no problem there, but our room was quite small overlooking a poorly kept garden. The letter with the key said that the information on how to use the internet was in the room. However all the information was only in German. After much effort of trying to get online, I went to the office and the door was locked. I could hear people talking inside, but after much knocking at the door I was ignored. A guest in the lobby helped me with what to do. Later the office was open and I stopped by to comment that the information was only in German, and I was told it was not necessary to put it in English since most of their guests were German. When I asked why they would not answer the door when I knocked, I was told that he owned the hotel and he made the rules. This is the kind of welcome we received our first hours in Germany. I felt the host was not only unresponsive but rude. There are many more beautiful hotels in this town, I suggest you try another. Loves Croissants
