  Clean, good restaurant but no connection to RL with public transport

  It was with great trepidation that I arrived at the hotel. I had booked and only then did I read the reviews on here. The 90 percent cancellation charge which the hoteliers have with booking.com had something to do with my decision ; ) I was pleasantly surprised by the room, which was clean and cosy. There was aircraft noise, but not during the night, and it wasn t summer, so we did nt need the window open. If anything it was a plus, as my young son enjoyed them. The evening meal was great, and the chef and serving staff at least were very friendly. I would say that I would stay again in this hotel if I was travelling by car. I traveled to Friedrichshafen using the excellent Badenwuerttemberge day rover train and bus ticket, and it would have worked fine except that the hotel is an 18 minute walk from the station and not on a direct bus route to either the Ravensburgerspielpark or Friedrichshafen. The local taxi company is based in Friedrichshafen, so I took a 23 euro taxi out there, and another 18 euro the next day to get me 5 minutes up the road to the theme park. I could have done with a little more support and advice in this respect as I was travelling alone with a young child. To end on a positive note, the region is very beautiful, and Ravensburger theme park is well worth a visit.

  Good location if going to Messe. Nice staff.

  This hotel is on the opposite side of the Messe from most of the traffic jams. And only a short drive from Friedrichshaufen lake front, and the ferries. The breakfast is good, although the food comes out a bit slowly if you are in a hurry. The restaurant is OK, with a pretty normal German menu. Good pizza. Rooms are basic in equipment and condition. Bed in my room was a bit short for me. Mattress not very good. 10 minutes to airport.

  Excellent

  We stay here for a trade show at the Messe every year. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good and has a reasonable variety. The restaurant is quite good, with Italian and German cuisine. The location is very convenient to the Messe.
