  Great Hotel in Seefeld, but Gourmet might be overpromissing

  The Gourmet Hotel has a great location, close to the centre (15-20 min. walk) and very close to a kids ski-lift (5-10 Min.). As weve been on holiday with a little toddler and therefore that was great! The reception/ bar area is nice and cosy as you might expect from the pictures on the homepage. Booking was easy and the colleagues from The booking team have been very helpful. The staff at the reception and bar was very friendly and helpful as well. They really have been great and made the stay nice. The room we had was great too! It was a nice recently renovated room, big, nice bath, comfortable bed and great view from the balcony. The restaurant is ok, but slightly small. The food was ok... The breakfast includes all you would expect from a hotel that class, but nothing fancy. The snacks during the day are also ok, as well as the dinner. But for a hotel called gourmet was the whole food experience (especially the dinner) neither creative nor special. Further was the kitchen quite unflexibel in respect to the demands for our toddler. The only options for 4 days would have been pasta with tomato sauce or schnitzel with fries... Further was the staff in the restaurant not the most friendly nor attentive. The sauna is good. Sufficient space, fresh apples, water and tee. It is not the latest design, but clean. Only the plants could either be watered or replaced as they kind of look sad... Summed up is the hotel a clear recommendation, based on its advantages in regards of room, location and friendliness of the staff at the bar/reception.

  Outstanding Hotel with amazing food.

  I just can't say enough about my 4 nights at Zum Gourmet. I have just returned from a 4 night skiing holiday to Seefeld and with the reviews on TripAdvisor decided to stay here.Even before arrival the Hotel were able to help me via email and book a taxi transfer from the airport (52 euros). The room was a single occupancy but had everything I needed to make my stay comfortable. The Wifi was good and the staff were excellent - especially Neya in the restaraunt. Speaking of food the evening meal was outstanding. The food was of the highest quality. The hotel was located in the perfect location, not so close to the centre to be disturbed but a short 10 minute walk away. The communal areas and decoration were very good, Just a couple of points to note for us english - the spa area has 2 saunas and 1 steam roon which are all used without clothing regardless of age or gender. Robes are available from reception. At checkout we were presented with a bill for the 'Resort Tax' of 2.80 euros a day, I might be old fashoned and know hotels do this now but think this is a bit of a rip off. An amazing time at an amazing hotel, and at £434 for 4 nights all inclusive (on hotels.com) not bad at all.

  Wonderful relaxing stay at super hotel!

  We booked this hotel as part of a 3 night package deal, attracted by the all inclusive nature of it so we had plenty of time to ski. All the staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly, without being intrusive. The food was excellent - buffet style breakfast with full range of hot and cold options, soup/salad lunch, afternoon cakes, and a 5 course evening meal (with 3 choices for starter and main). Our double room was clean and comfortable, with everything we could need - including two arm chairs, and a wonderful power shower which was most welcome at the end of a days skiing. The hotel is located just out of the main centre of town, but still close enough to get to everything in Seefeld. It is less than 10 minutes walk to the main bus stop from where buses run to the two main ski areas in Seefeld. Within 5 mins walk there is a smaller ski area with two runs ideal for beginners or those wanting to practice their ski technique. Overall, this was an ideal hotel to be based at for an active few days in the mountains, with great surroundings to enjoy relaxing evenings with wonderful food and hospitality

  A Great Place to Visit That is About 45mins From Innsbruck Airport

  This is a fantastic and genteel hotel with clean facilities, modern furniture and friendly and helpful staff. Its located in a beginner / intermediate family friendly snow resort a few hundred metres from the nearest ski shuttle bus stop so we did not meet any hard-core expert skiers and / or boarders while we were there. During our stay we shared the hotel with a diverse clientele ranging from cross country skiers, newbie/intermediate boarders to ramblers - all of whom were interesting and nice. We stayed at the hotel for three nights on an all-inclusive basis with the intention of using nearby restaurants as our Plan B if all was not well with the food and drink there. We were, however, really surprised at the high standard of the cuisine at the hotel and its range of meals, including the really scrumptious Austrian cakes served at four oclock each every day, so we scrapped our Plan B on the first night and looked forward to taking all our meals at the hotel. I would add that the Aktivhotel Zum Gourmet really is an all-inclusive facility so local wine and beer was included in our room tariff with a small additional charge for fancy cocktails, etc. This came as a pleasant surprise to us when we arrived made doubly so by the quality of the local drinks and the pleasant and quiet atmosphere throughout the hotel at all times. For information, our trip to Austria was a cheeky half-term getaway for my school age daughter and me but once my partner learned about the highlife, we were living in Seefeld shes interested returning with us to the area for some rest an recreation too. In closing this review my daughter and I throughly recommend this hotel as a great place to stay for anyone visiting Seefeld.

  Lovely little place

  Excellent rather small hotel in the outskirts of Seefeld. It is very close to the lovely mountain walk. The view from the window of our suite was marvelous. The road could be a little noisy though. However it was no noise from other rooms. The food was very well presented and tasty. The service from Minea, Max and others was excellent. The bedroom and the bathroom were spacious and comfortable. We are happy to stay there again.
