excellentwas looking for accommodation for a 2 night stop in Bangkok. Was slightly fed up of the usually hussle bussle that comes with most places in Bangkok an needed somewhere not far from Don Muang airport for flight to Buriram. so saw this place on maps.google and thought we should give it a go! So it is slightly off the beaten track, but was a great place, Front reception desk staff were brilliant, couldn't do enough for you, they were very helpful, polite and well informed of surrounding area. food was good, nice restaurant, room service was good. Room was very good, nice comfortable bed and shower/toilet room was very nice, only draw back was the power of the shower, (my wife described it as a dog reaching the last tree in a large forest!!) Would definitely stay here again. 20 minutes from Don Muang, and about 45 minutes through traffic from Suvarnabhumi

Totally UnexpectedHave the hotel contact number ready when taking the cab. Taxi drivers (all) didn't have problem sending me here after talking to the receptionist. The location is really a little out unless you need to be around the Don Muang area. Let the reception know early that you need a cab to somewhere, and the cab will be waiting for you when the time comes, else waiting time could stretch to 30 minutes or more. The hotel provides tuk tuk to the nearest train station and Tesco. Let them know early too. Getting a cab back from Sukhumvit area was a challenge. Hailing a cab from the streets would likely set you back by at least THB300. I only managed to bargain down to 250B. I suggest you Q at big malls. From Emporium (only the 5th driver agreed), the meter fare was 160B. The hotel lobby is cozy. There's a small section selling snacks and drinks and prices weren't marked-up. Simple breakfast - Thai fare with rice and dishes and porridge with condiments, fried eggs and sausages, coffee, English tea and green tea, milk and cereal, and I only managed to snag a cup of yoghurt on one morning (out of 6). Great if you like Thai food. The dishes were absolutely delicious and freshly cooked every morning. Note that this is a halal restaurant and no pork is served. The restaurant, although small was elegantly furnished, clean and comfortable and perhaps new too. Tables weren't cramped together, giving some privacy to diners. It can get crowded in the mornings with many local workers staying there (for trainings) as there are a number of big companies around that area. Room wise, huge room (which looked sparse) with a king bed (clean bed sheet and comfortable mattress) and 2 bedside tables. It was a bit dusty at some hidden areas eg TV wires, the hanging lamps but I guessed it was okay coz I didn't sneeze. Bathroom (don't expect it to be sparkling) was ok and basic with standing shower. Shampoo, bath gel, dental kits, shower cap, sanitary bags and soap were provided. There's a robe and bathroom slippers (not the disposable kind so I didn't use). Check out time is 12pm extendable to 1. Beyond that they charge a hefty fee of more than half the room rate. But you may leave your luggage at the hotel for your last minute shopping. Overall, it was a great stay. Safe. Staff were friendly (but they don't speak much English). Fulfilling breakfast. But do take note of its location before booking.

Nice stay close to Chatuchak weekend marketWe stayed only one night here for visiting the famous Chatuchak weekend market. This place is not in busy streets, little bit inside the country, quite a nice location. The staff is very friendly and speak english. Porters help with our luggage at the time of check-in and also when we came back after shopping. As requested in my agoda booking we have given a lower floor room closet to the lift. Room is large. We asked for twin beds with an extra bed as 3 people in our group. Extra bed is not good as the other two. Sheets are clean, floor is clean. Huge cupboard to hang our clothes. There were two bathrobes and slippers. Celyon tea bags were there. Bathroom is small but good & clean. Clean towels. There was a hair dryer as well. Water pressure is very good as we stayed in second floor. But hot water from shower not quite hot. Breakfast is very good. Soup, starters, main course and fruits were there. The hotel has shuttle service to the Chatuchak market, 10-15 mins away from hotel. They kindly provided the tuk tuk as the shuttle in the afternoon once we asked as soon as checked in. Then in the next morning they gave a van as there were 5 people to go. Both times we took tuk tuks to come back to hotel. They charged 150 baht which is very overpriced, but we were tired with shopping & with lots of bags. There are no 7-11 near the area as this is away from city. But the hotel lobby has useful items(noodles, cookies, chocolates, soft drinks) at the same rate. So we bought from there. Checkout time is 2 pm which is a very reasonable time. We arrived only before 15 mins before 2 pm so we had to rush our bags and checkout. We booked a taxi to airport from hotel which is also overpriced I guess, but we directly paid to the driver not the hotel. As we ordered the cab at 4 pm we had to stay in the hotel lobby for 2 hours. But we were busy that time with arranging our bags. The front desk staff surprised with the huge lot of items we bought from weekend market, but they didn't tell anything once we started packing in the lobby. We also didn't interfere with any other guests or the staff so we were left to do whatever the packing we needed. Then a lady spoke with us I think she's the manager or something, & ask if we need any help. The entire staff was very good and polite specially the guy and the girl in the reception. As we waited in the lobby we even saw one staff member has found a T-shirt in a room which a couple just checked out, and they ran after them to return.

DissappointingThe reviews on Trip advisor led me to believe this was a nice place. It is NOT. The room (505) is in need of a good deep clean especially in the bathroom where there was a build up of mould in all of the corners. The reception staff members on duty when we arrived were not particularly welcoming or friendly and when the room key card wouldn't work, the young man who came to the room was quite rude. The buffet breakfast was 'not available' and the 'a la carte' American breakfast was of poor quality and very limited quantity. Not recommended!

One night stay before travelingWe booked one night. We wanted a hotel close to the MRT for our travels the next day. The hotel is an easy walk from the Tao Poon MRT station and the price is good. We booked a one-bedroom suite. It was extremely spacious and I enjoyed the bathrobe and slippers. When we wanted dinner it wasnt a far walk but we had to cross busy traffic and took us awhile to find a 7/11. I tried to use the treadmill in the gym and found 1 out of the 3 worked. I didnt feel the 1 working treadmill was comfortable so I gave up. Our sleep was good, it was nice to wash our clothes in the washing machine in the room but I felt the room itself was missing character.
