  Good location

  We were only in this hotel for one night but we reckoned that this was the best of the 4 star hotels that we stayed in during our 2 week tour of China. The room was spacious & well appointed, as was the bathroom and very clean. The wifi was good. The hotel was well situated, not far from the beautiful West Lake and the main shopping street. As usual in China, the Western breakfast was disappointing with the main emphasis being on the Chinese breakfast.

  Excellent location, very good service

  Stayed at the Media hotel for two nights during a business trip. The hotel is well located with plenty of shopping malls, cafes and restaurants nearby. Ten minutes walking distance to West Lake. The room was just so so, not new, but clean with the basic facilities. The desk and chair were not suited for any type of work, so I found myself typing on my laptop in bed... The hotel did supply a desktop PC with Chinese operating system, which is useless for foreigners. Wi-Fi worked well most of the time. I am giving it four stars instead of three, because the service has been exceptionally attentive and useful, making my overall experience a very positive one.

  Good location

  The location very close to the west lake, shopping street and restaurant. Staffs are friendly and helpful. I booked a non smoking room,but at my floor I found some guests were smoking in front of the elevators which causes my floor (I think all of this floor) having bad smell of cigarettes. Anyway there is no such smell in my room. The exit of the closest metro ,there is no elevator or escalator,if you have a big luggage,you have to carry up by yourself.

  Great Location with Excellent Buffet Restaurant

  My son and I spent 3 days here attending a scientific meeting. The rooms are comfortable and the second floor buffet was really excellent. Close to West Lake and shopping area. Staff are very helpful although surprisingly few speak English. Highly Recommended 4 Star Hotel

  So-so Four Star Hotel

  This is a reasonably priced 4-Star hotel which doesnt really cater to overseas guests. The beds are comfortable, and the staff are friendly. But English is not a strong point at this hotel. There are some rather strange listings on the mini-bar, as you can see in the last photo. In terms of location, the hotel is a 10-20 minute walk to West Lake. Its also located near the subway stations. I wound up staying here after booking a much lower priced theme hotel on Trip.com. (Used to be C-Trip). When I arrived at the other hotel, I was told foreigners not allowed. This seems to be a problem at many hotels in China- book a cheap rate and be told: 1) you cant stay there or 2) be forced to pay a higher rate for a better room. For a 1-night stay, this hotel was good in a pinch. If I had stayed longer in Hangzhou, I would have wanted to stay closer to the tourist areas.
