Ok, but nothing to make you consider re-visiting, including tourist offer in the region.

Food was quite tasty, especially for those who like Hungarian cousine. This hotel offered for breakfast, among other dishes, pork cracklings and spring onions, which was positive surprise for me, knowing that I haven't experienced that dish in any other hotel I've been to. We also had a few negative experiences. Firstly, absolutely horrible level of English knowledge (very close to none), starting from receptionists and not to mention waiters, cooks and staff engaged in the wellness service. Exept in Hungarian, only way to communicate is in German which I would assess as fair concerning the receptionists to very basic when it comes to waiters and masseuses. Secondly, I want to share one experience - my friend and I ordered two non-alcoholic Stella beers, and were served one with date expired a few months ago with two glasses. When trying to explain that we ordered two bottles, the waiter said they had only one bottle (without informing us in advance about that). Even though we had not accepted beer with expired date, we were charged for it in the final receipt and had to argue with the receptionist in order not to be charged. Furthermore, we were charged two drinks we had never consumed (interestingly, none of the receipts from the restaurant had my signature, except that with drinks we never ordered! Of course, that was not my signature!) We had to argue again, but this time with the manager we asked to come, because we did not want to pay for that. My advice - insist on signing every receipt for drinks you consume. Service fee is charged automatically, no matter whether a guest is satisfied or not (you can't complain). This all SHOULD NOT have happened in a superior 4-star hotel!

Fascinating view, fine food and wine, very romantic place

Our room had a small veranda with fascinating view on the lake Balaton. We went first in the well-ness which was surprisingly nice. Our children enjoyed a small water slide and I was able to swimm in a real swimming pool (3 lanes). There was some different kind of saunas and I have chosen the finish one. There is a jacuzzi outside from where the view is just amazing. After the wellnes we had a dinner. The food was excellent and the selection of wines contains some nice surprises from local wines. There are some nice attractions nearby in the castle Festetics (Keszthely) and for children the Dino/advanture park in Rezi is gorgiuos.

Could be so good...// olyan jó hely lehetne...

It's our third visit, we love the view, the sauna and it's good value for money. The food was all right, the waiters were really nice. BUT: the room was far too hot and sleeping with the window open was not an option with a small baby. The receptionist wasn't helpful, made some administrative errors too. Most voltunk itt harmadjára, szeretjük a kilátást, a szaunát és jó áz ár érték aránya.

If you like to complain visit this hotel!

I dont know where to start, arrive at the hotel at 3 o clock the hotel itself is beautiful and spacious from the look of the rooms, size and facilities it could easily be 5 star hotel even tho the prices feel like a 5 star hotel. Firstly, we visited the spa/wellness part where we started our disaster. The employees must had a bad life as they did not want to smile at you at all and they were just as rude. We got into the jacuzzi where they had a massive sign saying it is 35 Celsius, we were shivering inside, we kindly asked to check if the temperature was right the women rolled her eyes and went away. 15 minutes later she comes back saying it is 32 Celsius so we said sorry it is freezing it cannot be that temperature and her response were literally thats good. We didnt bother ourselves too much as we tried to enjoy our holiday but the disaster continued. The outside jacuzzi was out of order, the salt cave was out of order so we thought we will leave the spa/wellness and try the dinner. The restaurant part will disappoint you from the start, chefs and waiters do not smile either and the food choices are very very very limited. I mean there is 2 kind of soup, rice with 2 kind of meats and 2 kind of salad. And this is the buffet. Really? 4 starts for that? Im been a head chef for 3 years come on, a 4 star hotel has this many choices? We gave it a chance, the food is not fresh and the bartender must of been drunk as he forgot to put a few ingredients into the drinks as instead of a cosmopolitan we got plain vodka with some syrup, we complained and the waiter relised there was no juice in it so he apologised. We tried to enjoy it so we moved on and went into the rooms. We had 3 rooms next to each other and all 3 had terraces. BE CAREFUL if you like your privacy dont get a terrace! We were walking into each others rooms from the terrace as they were not divided at all! The air-con was not working and in summer you can imagine how it felt! We called reception 3 times and first they said the air con should not even be on as they under maintenance, second time we called they came upstairs with one remote, turned it on and it was blowing 24 Celsius air and it sounded like a Boeing jet plane at take off. The third time we complained they said just leave the door open as they cannot do anything else so i showed the receptionist soon as i opened my terrace door, from ants, bugs and mosquitos invaded our room, he said sorry thats all i can tell you to do. Furthermore, after all this niceness from the staff we tried to watch tv and it also was out of order, when we phones receptionist they said we must be stupid and cannot work the tv as it should be working. Yes? I think that was the cherry on my ice cream when i had enough. We paid £300 per room for a 4 star hotel and we receive a accommodation and treatment like this! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!! I had to ask random customers and the hotel as i thought we were the only ones and 4/5 said their stay were the same! Please take this seriously and do not stay!

    Spectacular view

We spent 2 nights after the high season. The hotel itself is easy to find, the reception is a bit tricky,as there are several buildings and entrances, the lobby is a bit hidden behind the restaurant. The view of Balaton is amazing! Expect a lot of stairs and climbs, and make sure you use the break at your car. If you wish to have a walk at the town,or visit nearby areas, you'll need a car - the hotel is at the top of the hill,so climbing back up after a walk can be tiring. The hilly garden at the back is very silent, and also the spa was empty on weekdays (in Sept!). Inside there's a covered swimming pool (round 26 C),a small pool for kids, and a hotwater small pool. Outside at the terrace there's a jacuzzi and some sunbeds, and the rest of the services are for charge (for e.g. saltroom). Towels are provided. There's a play area on 1st floor for kids: tablesoccer, lego, Xbox and other toys. Our room was big enough, bed is really comfy, cleaniness is perfect, very good quality. Food was a bit disappointment. The breakfast was okay (even lactose free milk is available),but if you wish to have late breakfast, expect less selection,as foods are not refilled before closure. Coffee and juice were fine. Dinners (buffet style) were also something easy to forget, and drinks were expensive - and there's no price list of the drinks! We never saw one, except a board with some wine prices, but no information about soft drinks. Receptionist was also confusing, communication is not so smooth. I definately recommend this place, and I hope we will return, but I'm sure next time we will book a room with breakfast only.
