  Great stay!

  We had a brilliant time staying in room 11 at the Zante Dolphin last week! Great views over the lovely pool, the sea and the mountains! The barman, Fortis and his lovely wife are excellent and Fortis is a wonderful character too! Fotini, the lady in reception, is really helpful and can't do enough for you, she's a great asset to the hotel. The rooms are basic but very clean and have everything you need for a great stay! We'll definately be back in 2020!

  A hidden gem

  Recently returned from the Zante Dolphin, Rated 2 star by the travel company, but in my opinion this should be higher. Yes some of the fixtures are getting on and looking a tad jaded, however, It's spotlessly clean, quiet, a perfect place to stay. Fotis and Joanna at the pool bar are excellent hosts, and nothing is too much trouble. The food they serve is is freshly made and very very tasty. Fotine on reception is the nicest person and nothing is too much trouble for her to ensure you have a perfect stay. We will most certainly return if we're ever on Zante. As has been mentioned in other reviews yes it's off the strip and up a hill, but it's not an issue, nearest super market is an easy 5 minute walk and the walk to Alykes crossroads is less than 10 minutes easy stroll.

  Great holiday, lovely friendly apartments

  We all had an amazing stay at Zante Dolphin, 2 adults and 2 children (13 & 10) for the first 2 weeks in August. Due to Covid, the apartments unfortunately had a lot of cancellations this year and only 2 apartments in the block were occupied in our first week with a few more in our second week. The upside was that we had the pool to ourselves most of the time, but sad to know that such a lovely family is losing money in this situation. All precautions in place, sanitiser in public places and regular cleaning taking place, we always felt comfortable and safe. Fotis and Ioanna who run the pool bar were incredible, great company, great cocktails and Ioanna is an amazing cook, so we ate in more that we would normally. We really miss seeing them every day. Our two bedroom apartment on the first floor overlooked the pool and was very clean and we couldn't fault it. The cleaners came daily and were really flexible when we needed a lie in. We slept well every night and the shower was probably most powerful we have had on any of our apartment holidays. The apartments are ideally located for a short 10 minute walk to Alykes centre with all the tavernas, bars and the beautiful beach. We had a fabulous holiday and will definitely be returning.

  Fantastic stay

  We stayed at the Zante Dolphin for 2 weeks in August 2020, myself, my partner and our 14 year old daughter. We had a 2 bedroom apartment on the ground floor, it was kept very clean by the lovely cleaners who came in every day. It had a long balcony with 2 sets of patio doors overlooking the pool. The doors kept the noise out and you could also close the shutters too (there was also a mosquito screen if you didn't want to close the doors entirely to let any breeze in). The apartment was well equipped with air con in each bedroom, a hair dryer in one of the bedrooms as well. There were always sunbeds available whatever time we got up, the pool and surrounding area was kept very clean. Fotis and Ioanna run the snack bar, very friendly, good choice of breakfast, snacks and meals, lots of choice of drinks. Food is served into the evening if you don't want to walk to one of the nearby restaurants. A short walk through olive groves takes you to the Katastari road either by the Iris bar or the other path takes you just a little further up the road by the Koukanari (Pine Cone) restaurant. This is a gem of a place, we will definitely return.

  Lovely place

  We stayed here in August 2020 myself, my partner and our 3 daughters in a 2 bedroom, ground floor apartment. The family who run the bar are lovely and the whole place is clean and well maintained. We did not check out until mid afternoon and the manager arranged for us to keep our room until then so we could shower and change before the flight. Food and drinks at the bar were good and the main resort and beach are a 10 minute walk away. There were plenty of restaurants and the beach is lovely. We felt this was the best place we have stayed so far in terms of location and resorts -we have visited most of the Greek islands. It is typically Greek so if you are used to spa hotels, it is probably not for you. Perfect for us, would definitely recommend.
