  amazing staff and dinner

  My friend and I stayed here for one day during golden week. We loved the dinner and breakfast served in the individual rooms where great friendly staff even noticed I was left handed and set all the silverware for leftys. The onsen was great we went at night and in the morning where no other guests were there. The water made our skin really smooth also. I would definitely want to come back to this place ryokan when visiting Miyachi again.

  The one of the best Onsen Ryokan

  Well maintained beautiful old building in the tiny village(you can't drive in), but the experience you have is just amazing. Modern and simple but luxury room and food.... ahhh food was excellent! Delicious every single dish with beautiful presentation and professional service. We had such a memorable time. I stayed in 2010, not recent.

  Luxury stay

  We stayed for 2 nights on September 2018. The hotel is a historical beautiful building, in a small town. Upon arrival the staff was expecting us with mochi and green tea, they took our bags and showed us to our room- with a huge window. It really shows that thought was put into what the room includes- everything you could think of for the onsen (which is lovely, especially in the rain), sweets, green tea, ice cold water, relaxing music. The meals are served in a private room and are probably some of the best we had in Japan. The staff was amazing and kind, informative and helpful. Wish we could go back!

  Best stay of my trip

  Beautiful historical building. Excellent service from start to finish. Dinner was absolutely amazing. Wished I had stayed for two nights instead of one! Only downside was that there's no lift so if you have mobility issues this is not for you.

  PERFECT.

  I am truly impressed by the service and hospitality of this place. We all know that the hospitality industry of Japan is the best, but this place is beyond amazing. Its unrivaled hospitality and attention to detail provide the most amazing experience for one! We had stayed many amazing hotels in Japan but I would say this one tops my list. We love every bit of our time there; the food, the onsen and the staff who never fails to make you feel at ease and attend to your every need. Special mention to Osamu, who make our stay memorable. Definitely one of those few places that you would want to stay again. Just to take note- this is a place for you to relax and just enjoy spending time in the area
