The best experience over a year and half in JapanUsually the Japanese hotels are small and they dont speak English. However, here you dont need to worry about this. The diner is amazing, breakfast is Japanese style (Fish, Rise Soup ets.). a 10 mints ride will get you to the amazing snow playground and illuminations. The Egloo is beautiful at the night and hart shape light all over the place. Back to the hotel and you must be freezing, its the time for the outdoor hot spring (Onsen). It took the privet one with my wife (this hotel worth every penny)

A Tasty Cultural ExpeienceYunishigawas Hana To Hana, is truly, a lot-for-the-yen ryokan. Located deep in the mountains of Nikko, Japan, surrounded by dense forest and overlooking a picturesque mountain stream, this very special accommodation is sure to satisfy the traveler who is looking to experience a taste of traditional Japanese culture. The staff are friendly and accommodating; the rooms are spacious, comfortable and well equipped, and the water is hot. And be sure to choose the traditional dinner and breakfast option - to complete the experience offered by this wonderfully traditionalized modern onsen. Highly recommended. nordin asher Vancouver, Canada

This is a beautiful and traditional Japanese Hotel. The hotel is surrounded by the mountains. The trees in the mountains will change colors as the season changes. I was there in autumn, and the leaves are in autumn colors such as brown, red and yellow. Also, most of the room with a large window. When waking up, you can see the view outside. The cuisines are traditional Japanese style which you will experience the real Japanese atmosphere and cultures. All in all, it's a nice hotel where you should visit if you pass by.

Chill out retreatWe came for a relaxing retreat in the snow and we're not disappointed. We arrived at Narita airport and took the local train to Yunishigawa Onsen Stn by local train via Asakusa; Shinkansen would have cost twice as much. From Yunishigawa Onsen Stn it was a 20mins+ public bus ride to the ryokan. Its a big ryokan hotel. We had a room with western beds facing the stream and hillside. Room was comfortable and heated. The were 2 gender segregated rotenburos with nice views in the snow. Water was hot. Food and service were good. Unfortunately we were snow bound and could not explore much of the area.

HanaHana is a must. I have done this one before and spent the night, way to go. This time I did a one dayer, so if you like to drive, go for it. The National Park has the Seven Scared pools that you can hike around. We couldn't swim, water no good. But in the past I swam in them, wonderful experience. Lots of waterfalls, some big, some small, depends on the rain.
