  • Absolutely mess and mad

I never recommend to my friends. Price is high, dinner is leftover or garbage. Sashimi are smelling and not fresh. Every foods are not good taste. Rice is old. Meals are cold. Facility are dilapidated. I can only think of doing a business that made a fool of the customer. There is really near by blue pond. But blue pond is nothing value to go. Soooooo many Chinese people are there. But they are being deceived. They cannot speak Japanese, they dont know true Japanese food and hotel. All of them dont say complain because they dont know it is mess. I feel ashamed that they think this is a normal Japanese hotel. Normal standard Japanese hotel are not like this. I never stay this hotel again. Stop messing around.

I want to visit this hotel again.

Pros: it is located near Aoike, one of the most famous places in Hokkaido, and has a nice onsen. It offers breakfast and dinner(Kaiseki meal) and there is a small souvenir shop in the hotel. The room is a bit old but quite spacious and big enough for 3-4 people. Especially, I loved fresh air of this hotel. I recommend every single person who has a plan to accommodate this hotel to take a walk in the night time. Cons: there is no non-smoking room so you should know about it before you make a reservation. And it is far from Shin-chitose airport or Sapporo downtown(about 3hrs) but if you have a car, it doesnt matter at all. Conclusion: if you want to spent most of your days in Biei & Furano area and decide to use a rental car service, I strongly recommend you to book this hotel. , & . . .

    Awful !

I never rated any hotel lower than 3 stars, but I have to do it this time. We are in a group of 10 , we booked 3 rooms and came to stay for 3 nights for the lavender seasons, paying more than 40000 yen per night per room, however the experience was rather unpleasant. 1. One family of our group has 2 adults and 2 kids, we already paid extra for the kids, and informed the hotel we in advance that we have kids, but while we requested for extra futon bedding , they said they have no more beddings, and also no extra pillows. How could 4 people sleep in 2 futons ?!?!? For 3 nights....... 2. Food was ok , but then the service was awful, we didnt arrive the dining hall at the same time, once the waiter saw a few of us, and they lighted up all the fires to cook the beef without telling us, when we discovered , the beef already overcooked, some of our friends not even arrived yet. And there was one morning that we couldnt even get a bowl to get breakfast, and no hot tea , everything just gone, and no one refilling. 3. The first night half way of my shower, I found out no shower jel and no shampoo. My hubby called the concierge immediately and they asked him to go down to get it. 4. We reserved non smoking rooms, but the room still have smells of smoke, made me feel sick. 5. The hair dryer was not really working properly, it just kept flipping back while I was drying my hair. 6. No WiFi in rooms. The only good thing is - the bell boy was very helpful, once we arrived , he helped carrying our luggages. Staying in this hotel has completely ruined our trip, never had any bad service like this in any other onsen hotels.

    Just Relaxing

We been there during winter. This hotel located closed to shirahige Waterfalls, just behind the Hotel. Ice Waterfalls. You can walk about few seconds from the Hotel to this waterfalls. There are small Onsen there, three indoor and one outdoor. Outdoor one very nice, especially during snowing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There provide bus transport to Blue pond (by booking in advance with free of charge). Dinner and breakfast was good. BTW room price a bit expensive.

Lovely traditional hotel with amazing onsen

Comfortable hotel, spacious roms in a beautiful area. The onsen was amazing, especially the outdoor area where you could hear the waterfall. The kaiseki dinner was a fantastic experience and the breakfast buffet was nice. The staff were so helpful - it was our first trip to Japan and we had never stayed in a ryokan before and they patiently explained the dinner and onsen etiquette!
