  7th Visit

  This is my seventh visit here. The current adult price per night, including two all you can eat meals, is ¥8100, including sales tax. For this price, and considering what you get in return, you cannot really complain about anything. The buffet meals are not great, but only the irrationally fastidious find reasons to cry foul. When booking a room, assuming you can speak Japanese, see if you can get a room with a nice ocean view; otherwise when the place is packed, as it is at the time of this writing, you're likely to be put into a room in front of a parking lot. One of my favorite aspects of life in Japan is the nation's hot spring culture. Here in Shirahama they're everywhere. Senjo's onsen are very relaxing. Try the outdoor bath under the stars. Back in the indoor baths be sure to periodically step into the cold bath to regulate your body temperature. The sauna there is old but adequate. The Senjojiki ocean viewpoint is almost within spitting distance, where you can enjoy the fantastic sea air, the beautiful blue sky, wonderful sunsets, and the stars at night. If you're not driving from Osaka or Kyoto, the hotel offers a cheap bus service for ¥3300 return. It's slower than driving in your own car so if that prospect bothers you, be sure to bring plenty of reading material. The hotel's 12 o'clock check out time means you can relax on the morning of your departure to your next destination. So, at ¥8100 per head (university student discounts available for groups of five and more) Hotel Senjo, with its satisfactory service, is a good deal.

  Nice onsen and buffet

  Pleasant big hotel with nice outdoor onsen. It's very clean and everyone guest can choose their favorite yukata from the lobby. The breakfast/dinner buffet is a treat with sumptuous spread of Japanese cuisine. Every item is perfectly done even a simple looking pumpkin tempura is so tasty! Try the outdoor onsen and be treated to a nice cliff view!

  A Satisfied Stay

  Facilities in this resort hotel include game room, table tennis, outdoor swimming pool, indoor and outdoor spa. Free parking at several reserved outdoor areas nearby the hotel is quite convenient to hotel guests. Rooms are spacious and clean, with toilet and water basin, but no bath facilities. Guests have to use the common bath area attached to the indoor spa. A lacking of bath facility at the outdoor spa, has created inconvenient to guests, when its access is totally independent from indoor spa. Foods are plentiful at breakfast and dinner, we are quite satisfied with the choices. Staffs at the front desk are friendly and helpful, a nice experience staying at this hotel.

  One stay is already enough

  old facilities, dirty toilet, dirty room, smelly bathroom -- stains on toilet, bathroom mirror, worn-out facilities -- fair dinner and breakfast, actually not many choices -- no reply to client's request regarding room status via Hotels.com

  Nice room and good location, near to main sights

  We booked two single rooms. Room size was spacious. Hotel has good onsen and other entertainment facilities for children and families. The buffet dinner and breakfast is good. Well located near to Sandanbeki and Senjojiki. Regular buses link this hotel to the station and other places of interest. Popular hot springs are nearby too.
