Another Good Osen Hotel @ Kitayama, Chino .\o-o/After visiting Tateyama - Kurobe Alphine Route, we check-in to this Hotel -Yokoyaonsen Ryokan. We were looking forward to our dinner and trying out the Onsen later. Great place! Rooms were good and the staff were friendly. Free wi-fi @ lobby. They have a light entertainment at the reception area in the evening till 9pm. I like the scenery outside the hotel. Lovely place! Enjoy! See pics!

Traditional Japanese RyokanThis is a traditional Japanese ryokan with tatami-matted rooms. You must take off your shoes in certain parts of the hotel. Beds are more like cots with comforters. It is definitely a popular Japanese hotel - it does not cater to English speakers as all signage is only in Japanese, however, the staff tries very hard to be helpful. It is in a beautiful setting with some waterfalls right by the hotel and it has a very nice natural hot springs baths. Both nights we were there they had concerts in the lobby of local artists and they were quite good - especially a young woman playing a flute with a piano accompaniment. Many, many courses of Japanese food are served at dinner and the staff scurries to bring out the various dishes. No need to bring clothes for dinner - everyone just wears the kimonos and sandals provided by the hotel.
