  A great cost efficient solution to enjoy Shanghai

  We've spent a week in Yitel hotel, it was a smooth experience. There is a very helpful reception desk and concierge, although it is an advantage to communicate in English. Hotel is spacious and so are the rooms. Bathroom is newly renovated with a great taste. It is a kind of hotel from late ninetees but you cant feel it in the room. It looks scanry from the outside though. The overall experience was great. Across the street there is a big european department store with great choice of groceries and nice buffet opened for brunches. You need to get a cab to get to the subway station but hotel staff is always there to catch one.

  Suitable for a night stay

  I only stayed one night. For my purposes, the hotel was well located and my room was spacious and clean. The wall control for the air conditioning was not working. My room faced the main street and there was too much noise from truckers sounding their loud horns (Chinese way) to make their ways. The noise stopped at night though. Breakfast was not included in my reasonable rate but it was not too expensive (a buffet service for the equivalent of USD 10). However, the selection was limited. There is a large shopping center a very short distance away with plenty of places to dine. If you are desperate for foreign goods, there is a nice supermarket across the street selling only imported food, wines, etc. The staff has very limited handling of English but as usual in China, they were very cooperative when I made any request. You basically obtain what you pay for.

  Good location and reasonable price

  Stayed at this hotel for one day. The staff are nice and helpful. it is nearby the Hongqiao airport. What impressed me was the hotel is very clean and spacious and less expensive when compared to other same level hotels in Shanghai. The only reason I did not give 5 is it took me more than 20 minutes to reach the nearby restaurants and shopping places. The hotel may provide a dining place.

  Nice hotel close to the airport

  I am staying here in a group of 45 officials from different countries visiting china. The hotel is located at a very quiet area not too far from the airport. It is good on room size, and other amenities like dental kit and toiletries.. Breakfast was just avaerage on the basement 1 which looks a bit congested. Staffs struggle with English. Overall an average stay

  Didnt find my booking and made me wait 2 hours to give me a room

  The hotel is ok for a layover, its close to the airport and is an ok 3 star hotel. The issue I had to deal with was that they didnt find my booking and kept me waiting for almost 2 hours till they figured out the issue in their system and gave me the room. I reached the hotel at around 10 pm after a long flight and had an early morning flight the next day and the whole reason for me booking this hotel was that I could get a decent nights sleep before my next flight which they completely ruined and didnt even apologize once.
