  Dirty, unhygienic & a slap in the face!

  The worst hotel experience i have ever had! And I travel All over the world. The rooms were substandard and the bathrooms full of mold and a terrible smell. The carpets in the room were in a terrible condition, and when getting out of the elevators, it was even worse! The "breakfast" was a joke. The coffee was diluted to the extent of resembling weak tea. One or two staff members were friendly and helpful, but the rest seemed really miserable in the freezing heat deprived public areas and rooms. Also, as a non-smoker, having 4 out 5 gents smoking at the breakfast table next to you was very hard to bear. If you consider committing suicide, this is the spot.

  Good location

  There was a Bank of China just across the road from the hotel and also lots of local shops and local eating places. It was easy to get a taxi to the city for sightseeing although getting a taxi back at night was more of a problem. We also really liked the breakfast spread that had a combination of mostly local and some Western dishes. The room was clean and everything worked. The only problem was that there was no wifi in the room, and very weak connection even in the hotel lobby.

  Old Skool Hotel

  Was my first time in Xian, I followed private tour and had choose this hotel as a base for us to move around Xian's attraction. Well, the room is okey, comfortable and nicely arranged, except for the furniture and decoration was a bit old-Skool For the price, we have nothing to complaint it just Ok and suitable. However, the drawback is their staffs doesn't speak English at all, so it is good if you can use Mandarin, as for me we did have our local guide that help us around. Well the places in Xian are beautiful. It encourages me to learn up Mandarin in order for me to come back to this country again next time.

  I feel violated

  In my first room, the door was broken and would not lock. They gave me a second room. When I went into the room, one of the windows was open. I decided to open the second window and relax for a short time. I then left to get some dinner. When I came back, both windows were closed. Somebody came into my room and closed the windows. I have never been in a hotel before that will go into someone's room after they have checked in. I still don't know if they touched any of my things, but thankfully it seems that they didn't take anything. Next time I'm staying in a Hanting Express, and I suggest you do the same.

  Not really recommended especially for Muslim

  The location is quite good. There is halal restaurant nearby and also convenience store. But the hotel itself is not. First, the staff dont speak English at all and it was really difficult to communicate. 2nd, there is no label on the food for breakfast. So you didnt know what youre eating and it is not muslim-friendly. Third, all signages and instructions are in Chinese so you cant adjust any setting by yourself. The room was really cold even tough they have cooler or warmer in the room. But they are not working. Fourth, there is no privacy in the room. I paid for 9 rooms all together. And got 3 rooms with no door for the toilet. Lastly, the housekeeper just clean your room without refill anything. My body shampoo was depleted since the first day and up until 3 days it was not refill. The same goes for other rooms. There is no toilet paper and was not replace with new ones for 3 days
