  Not good value of money

  The pros of this property are its location and beautiful grounds. Unfortunately, thats where it stopped for us. We stayed in the loft accommodation (the room directly at the top of the stairs), and it was rundown, not clean, and full of mosquitos (not the hotels fault; but not helped by them leaving the window open all day prior to our arrival). We had a terrible nights sleep; being woken at 2am by consistent buzzing from mosquitos. None of the anti-bug plug in equipment worked (looked about 10 years old!), the towels were like sandpaper, and the bathroom was run down. As was the room in general; one plastic coat hanger, wires hanging from the wall, a bar of soap as body wash (fine if the accommodation was modestly priced; but it wasnt - 1700 rand for one night). Just not good enough and would definitely not recommend. Finally, the staff need to take Covid more seriously. Only Joseph wore his mask regularly. The man on reception (didnt catch his name), rarely, if ever, wore his mask. On check out he didnt even have his mask in sight, and thought nothing of cracking on with the check out and processing the payment without any mask in a small reception. His odd and abrasive personality didnt help. The owner also walked around the property (inside and out) with no mask. She was very bubbly and friendly; but again - not good enough.

  Simply the Best!

  My stay at Yellow Aloe Guest House was absolutely wonderful! The staff is super friendly and attentive. Rooms are beautiful with all the perfect finishing touches! They are clean and tidy and provide all the amenities necessary for a good night's rest. The gardens are tranquil and extremely well kept. The perfect spot to relax and take in the beauty of the Cederberg! The swimming pools allow for an amazing cool off under the Cederberg Sun. I would definitely recommend Yellow Aloe! The best of the best!

  Lovely Stay at Yellow Aloe

  I thoroughly enjoyed my short stay at Yellow Aloe. The beautifully furnished clean room was a pleasure. I highly recommend a stroll through the enchanting garden and a cup of tea at one of the little tables.The owners and staff were extremely helpful and pleasant making sure that my stay was relaxing. Will definitely return.

  African Hoopoe tours

  Arrived very late and nowhere to stay from Namibia. A room was offered and nothing was too much for my host Michel to do. He could see I was dead tyred and hot and made sure I was made comfortable. From the passion that goes into the interior decorating, making one feel the Tranquillity of the area, to the fantastic gardens. One can easily stay here for a few days to recharge. Can definitely recommend the Yellow Alloe boutique guest house in Clanwilliam. Thanks Cheryl and her partner Michel

  A friendly oasis with superb service

  We spent 2 nights there and can recommend this beautiful place. We had a skiboat and Michel, the Swiss co-owner, was super helpful that we could park the boat inside the premises. The setting of this B&B is legendary because you live in a tropical garden (birds, plants, palm tree, big lawns to play on, two pools). Joseph, the manager, is friendly and knowledgable. Clanwilliam has become a bit rundown, but the huge dam is still amazing. Saw two Bald Eagles.
