  Warm Welcome

  A warm friendly guest house, stayed for 1 night & was brilliant, room was nice, it had everything you needed & the breakfast was superb, a full English with toast, fruit juice, & cereal. Would stay here again

  Really quaint place

  Stayed whilst visiting NEC About 15 minute drive away so convenient Set in lovely grounds and a lovely area. Great price for the B&B Very clean and well looked after. Rooms small but unfitting with the character Was noisy at times as you Can hear the trains passing but I quite liked it - added to the character. Breakfast was fabulous- a proper home cooked breakfast. No hesitation in staying again

  Clean and friendly

  Clean room, adjustable heating and windows opened fully. Quiet area, by a road, but not much traffic. Pat was really nice, made a lovely breakfast. The bed in room one was soft which I don't like, but that's a personal preference. Would return and recommend.

  Excellent, traditional B&B

  A very friendly welcome at this traditional and well-priced English B&B. It was a bit hard to find (satnav was useless) just remember it's closer to Furnace End than Shustoke. I was surprised it was so close to a rail line (but I shouldn't have been given the name!) but quite honestly it's a local line with only a few trundling by, so unless you're a light sleeper you quickly become accustomed. Full English breakfast was good and far better than a Holiday Inn where the rooms are double the price. I stayed here for an NEC conference so it saved me a fortune compared to closer hotels. For the price it is excellent and well worth a stay and I have no hesitation in recommending it if value for money is your priority.

  Very pleasant host, good location.

  This guest house is in a lovely location not far from the NEC. There is ample free parking and the owner is pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is quite good, with good quality bacon, tea and coffee. The bedroom was tired and in need of decoration.. Towels and bedding are clean. The loo and bathroom are carpeted, which is unhygienic, in my opinion. The bathroom was a bit grubby and there was a bit of a whiff. Not sure if it was drains or the carpet. Our bed was comfortable. The shower was warm. Trains pass quite close to this house.
