  Desayuno caótico

  Llegamos a este hotel por un tour que hicimos por Japon. El hotel tenía una gran entrada/lobby, con tienda de gran variedad de cosas, pero escaso souvenirs japonés (habia varias cosas made in China). La habitación era amplia, con dos camas, baño espacioso y gran closet con caja de seguridad. Lo malo fue que nos tocó una habitación con vista al bosque, y no al monte Fuji. Sin embargo, para los que quedamos sin vista pudimos ir a la azotea, donde incluso hay un pequeño observatorio. Desde la azotea pudimos apreciar un monte Fuji despejado, sin nubes. Muy linda vista. La cena que nos ofrecieron fue 100% japonesa y a nivel suelo. Y para ella se podía ir vestidos con unas yukatas disponibles en la habitación. El desayuno fue quizás la peor experiencia. Era en el segundo piso, buffett con mil personas deambulando al igual que nosotros tratando de ver la comida/bebestible disponible. Al parecer había demasiados grupos de tour intentando desayunar a la misma hora, por lo que fue dificil encontrar mesa disponible, habia que hacer larga fila para obtener cualquier alimento. La verdad es que esperaba encontrar alimentos más occidentales, pero me tuve que conformar con pan, mantequilla y huevos revueltos. El capuccino estuvo bien y el jugo de manzana también. Todo el resto era comida japonesa y para mí gusto es demasiado pesada para comenzar el dia a las 7:30am. Cerca del hotel no supimos si había algo para comprar, porque estuvimos muy de pasada. Sí hay wi fin gratis en todo el hotel.

  A hotel that made me smile!

  Stayed here with tour group for one night at beginning of April. So many things about the hotel made me smile. Yes, its dated but in a way that felt comfortable and relaxed. Everything was very clean an in good working order. Small touches felt like something out of my childhooda sweet childrens play space that obviously someone put thought and effort into adding books and toys that children would look forward to playing with. The dinner and breakfast buffets had something for everyone. And the onsenI really enjoyed that, so relaxing! The indoor one was a little too warm for my taste but the outdoor one at night was very enjoyable. Thank you so much for having that for guests at the end of a busy day. Rooms were spacious, but expect the bathrooms to be quite smallbut I thought the onsen made up for that! Get a good bath in the onsen facility instead of your room and enjoy a Japanese tradition for a change. I enjoyed this hotel. I hope to come back someday!

  Great view of Mt Fuji

  This is quite a large hotel and has a large car-park to accommodate coaches and vehicles. The train station is not too far away either (not walking but a short taxi ride). The hotel offers a large foyer with a good sized convenience store that sells winter clothing too. There is a small play area set up for young children and unfortunately their bar area has now became a baby sitting area that badly needs updating. There is a karaoke bar up a level but a cover charge applies, which I thought was disappointing for guests staying at this hotel. This bar did not open until 8pm either, it would have been nice to have been open around late afternoon. The hotel offers traditional tatami mat rooms or Western style rooms. My husband and I went for the Japanese room. It was clean and comfortable but the bathroom was yet again on the small size, including the bath towels. The dinner at the hotel was Japanese food and was very good. The breakfast was a bum fight getting into the room - huge line of guests queuing up. The room itself was ordinary and the food wasn't much better - the only good thing was that the weather was clear and you could see Mt Fuji from the restaurant.The food set up could have been much better organized. Some of the rooms at the hotel also faced Mt Fuji - unfortunately ours was not one of them. This hotel also offers an onsen, which was very popular with guests. We did not interact with the staff at the hotel, so did not find it as friendly as the other places we had stayed in previously. Overall, would I come - probably not - the hotel seemed very dated.

  Old bit memorable

  Only 1 night stay before went to Fujiyama-San. An old hotel but still beautiful. Has an onsen inside the hotel but didnt try at that time. Wanna try the traditional room with futon, unfortunately it was fully booked. I experienced wearing Yukata and had the Royal Dinner. Would never forget that encounter.

  Perfect Onsen

  I stayed here on December 2017. The room was quite aging, but this maintain the cleanliness of the room and the hotel. There is an interesting shop on lobby area, where I brought some chocolate and cookies. I took the buffet dinner. The food selection ad the taste are superb.... you won't missed it when you visit this place. I tries the onsen (traditional hot water bath) inside the hotel. They have outdoor hot bath pool, since the weather is clod, but the water is hot, it is an unforgettable experience. Definitely will be back for Onsen if I go Japan.
