  Pésima elección!

  Este hotel definitivamente no es un hotel de 4 estrellas como www.booking.com lo describe. Pagamos $60 dls. Pero por una cama muy dura, la TV no tiene canales en inglés, hay animalitos pequeños en el cuarto, no tiene restaurante, la atención no es buena. Parece más un hostal que un hotel. Lo recomiendo a quienes viajan con backpack y no toman interés en la comodidad. La verdad decepcionante, el peor hotel en nuestro viaje a China.

  Lo mejor, la terraza con vistas al río Li

  Empezaré por la única pega que encontramos. El hotel se encuentra a 15 minutos en coche del centro de Yangshuo, en lo alto de una colina y se accede por una pista sin asfaltar después de una cuesta consderable. Por tanto, prácticamente la única manera de desplazarse si no tienes vehiculo propio es en taxi. El precio del taxi hasta el centro de Yangshuo es 30Y, por lo que es necesario añadir 60Y por noche al precio de la habitación si quieres salir a ver algo. Todo lo demás es genial. El chico de recepción habla un inglés bastante bueno y es muy amable. Te informa de todo y te ayuda a hacer reservas de actividades y excursiones. Incluso te consigue algún decuento. También se encarga de llamar a los taxis si quieres bajar al centro. Las habitaciones son espaciosas y cómodas y están limpias. Tienen algunos detalles como zapatillas. El televisor solo tienen canales chinos, pero tienen un puerto USB. Tiene wifi, pero funciona muy lenta. También tiene internet por cable, que va algo mejor. Lo mejor, es la terraza, bastante amplia, con una mesa y dos sillas con vistas al río Li y los pináculos kársticos de Yangshuo.

  Hay mejores opciones

  El hotel está alejado de la ciudad, por lo que, cada vez que tienes que desplazarte necesitas taxi: 30 RMB si lo pide el hotel y 40 RMB si lo coges en la calle, uno para bajar y otro para subir... además de la media hora de espera si es el hotel quien lo solicita. Las vistas son muy bonitas, pero sólo eso. Dormir con el ruido de un generador toda la noche resulta bastante incómodo... habitación asignada con 2 camas cuando habíamos solicitado 1. El baño bien, pero la temperatura óptima del agua de la ducha imposible conseguirla: o muy muy caliente o templada sin presión ninguna. Para llegar desde el aeropuerto hay un bus bastante barato, 65 RMB por persona, a diferencia de los 300 RMB que pagamos del taxi que contrató el hotel... Wifi bastante malo y ojo con la tasa no incluida en el precio de la reserva del 11%!!!

  The Scenery is Gorgeous

  The scenery is worth the stay. It is 3 miles outside of town (5km, I think), but the hotel staff is willing to call a taxi for you if you want to go into town (30 yuan). You can actually walk to town if you are up to the hike. The hotel is in a fairly quiet area, although there are two other hotels close by so you might get some noise from the other properties. The first night we stayed, a celebration was going on until 11, the owner said it was from another property. The rules of the property say that the guests should be quiet from 11 p.m until 8 a.m. Personally, I think 9:30 or 10 p.m would be better, and even if you are in your room, you should remember there might be people next door who want to go to sleep earlier and not shout to each other. The property is surrounded by mountains. Unfortunately, the windows had too much moisture on them to see the sunrise, but I caught a gorgeous sunset my last night there. The hotel is up a long dirt road and the walkways are stones, which can become slippery especially when it rains. My friend and I hiked back from town one evening and I was surprised we were not covered with mosquitoes. If you can, stay in room B08, the view is amazing. As for the breakfast, they have a small Chinese buffet for 20 yuan a person, but I did not like it. Nothing was hot and I got there shortly after the food was put out. I did not have any other meals there, I often waited to go into town or eat elsewhere. The manager and staff speak decent English and are very helpful. I would recommend staying here and would likely stay again. Oh, if you do not have large or heavy luggage, you can catch the bus to Guilin at the bottom of the hill, on the same side of the road as the hotel. You can also catch the bus to other local towns too, across the street at the gas station.

  Worth a Visit

  Staff are nice and Friendly. Although the website said no breakfast, we had a delicious breakfast with no charge. The Hotel does offer lunch and evening meal for reasonable price. The rooms are quite nice, fairly standard for China. Be prepared for some mosquitoes, I managed to kill 5 mosquitoes before bed and so managed not to get bitten in the night. A taxi in to town using the Didi app cost us just 13 RMB. The taxi journey takes about ten minutes in to town depending on the traffic. Wifi was decent enough, managed to connect to my VPN even during the difficult national day holiday period.For those looking for a bit of hiking, I spent a great deal of time looking around the immediate vicinity of the hotel: the hotel is perched right on the summit of the hill, there is one track down to yangshuo town which is pretty unspectacular, from the town there are must be plenty of walks. However I also found one abandoned track that goes down the other side of the hill, the views were spectacular. The hotel does offer rental of mopeds for 130 RMB a day.
