Amazing Yala!!!!We were blown away by the location of this place and the surrounding area was absolutely teaming with wildlife. On our guided tour of the national park, we were lucky enough to see herds of elephant, water buffalo, wild boar, deer, crocodile, and so much more. A swim in the river at the half way mark was an unexpected treat and the guide was kind enough to guard our belongings from the monkeys. Whilst we were enjoying a barbecue later that night, the tranquility was broken by the resident wildlife. Fuelled with adrenaline and armed with our torch we were lucky enough to see a leopard on its search for dinner. The Crocodile Bungalow was a once in a lifetime experience and we couldnt recommend this place highly enough. We hope you enjoy your trip as much as we did :-)

Animal HeavenWe stayed at the crocodile bungalow for one night on 20th March. It actually sleeps up to 14 people, but there was just my partner and I. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and offered a refreshing drink of fresh fruit juice. Kalinga runs the bungalow for his uncle with the help of Kumara and Rohan who attend to all of the cooking and cleaning.Kalinga made us feel as if we were home from home, and sat up late with us on the verandah chatting and searching for animals on the lake and surrounding area with the torch. The meal in the evening and breakfast was excellent quality with attention to detail. The bungalow is actually situated within Yala national park. From our verandah we were lucky enough to watch elephants, crocodiles, peacocks, langa monkeys and so much more. We were made to feel like friends to Kalinga, Kumara and Rohan. If you want a personal top dollar experience, we suggest you book this bungalow without hesitation.

Excellent service and very comfortable but strange accommodation facilities. We were the only guests (apart from our guide) staying here. The food, service and attention provided by the small number of staff was very, very good. Two minutes after leaving the Bungalow, we collected our park guide and started on our safari in the park. The layout of the rooms was rather strange. There were only two and we stayed in the 'smaller' one - which had 4 double beds in it and an en-suite bathroom. I presume that the original design was for it to be used by large family groups. The other room was even larger and had more beds. I did hear a comment suggesting that it may be modified in the future. Most importantly, we were really comfortable and the whole place was spotlessly clean. The view from the Bungalow was endlessly fascinating with flora and fauna to be appreciated in every direction. Even during a heavy rainstorm, there was plenty to see. All in all, this is an excellent place to stay and from which to explore Yala NationalPark. The choices didn't allow for it but our stay was in March 2017.

Weekend in the wildThe bunglow is locted close the sacred city of katragama and katagamuwa entrance of Yala National park.. bungalow is build to the wild life department bungalow concept with 10 beds in a hall and one room with 4 beds. Meals were nice and the servuce was good.. you will see enough crocodiles at the katagamuwa lake infront of the bungalow and we were able to see a tusker in who came to drink water in the evening.. you can presume at night there's alot leopards roaming around with the warning calls from The spotted deer around the bungalow... its the only private property llocated inside Yala ntional park.. for aure we will be back..
