    Little Gem for comfort

This hotel probably recently took over and did a renovation on the rooms. I give it real good points for the room condition but they left out renovation on the toilet. However toilets were in decent condition still. Think plush room... We had a shock when the hotel told us that they cannot accept overseas credit card. How do they expect every tourists to bring a wad of cash to China! Ridiculous~! We didnt have a choice and paid in cash which I wasnt too happy about. We had a little hard time finding food that we like and the location is far away from city etc. If you walk abt 20 mins along the stretch of the hotel you can probably find their local night market which sell quirky food stuff and socks etc.. Their breakfast was acceptable and they have a small western breakfast stand like eggs station and cereal stands. Dinners are difficult to settle in the hotel because room service cease at 9.00pm which is disappointing and their western cafe really doesnt exist despite the namesake. So eat full from a commercial center before returning to the hotel. Otherwise the comfort of the hotel is really worth the dough. Not too much issue with the cab drivers in this town so the inconvenenience of the location was worth it. For this hotel we exchange convenience for comfort.

Nice big rooms - Chinese breakfast - Average hotel

My family and I stayed in this hotel for one night in April 2012. We had nice big and clean rooms. The service was good with out being extraordinary. The break fast was Chinese even though they tried to present a western style section. Obviously they did not know how that works :-) At night there was some party going on which made quite some noise, but I do not expect that this was every night.

    Its China!

Hotel is a friendly place, the girls on reception a very helpfull, we stopped here for a month whilst working from Feb to mid March. We also stayed here in January for 2 weeks. Top tip 11th floor quietest, ask for rear facing room not front as road noise is excessive. Tried suite but its on the corner of the building and road noise was crazy loud. Showers flood the whole bathroom area but they all do it, we resorted to silicon sealant! Overall for the price not too bad. Tourists groups can be noisey as they slam doors till 1am plus. The breakfast is edible but not to Western tastes, you get a toaster that only toasts one side at a time and luke warm coffee. Cereals consist of corn flakes and sugar puffs and thats it, plenty of fruit though. Will be stopping again as back in April.

    Good for 1 night

We stayed in the hotel for a night. Room is clean. Hotel served mainly vegetables for breakfast. It takes you approximate 20 mins by foot from hotel to the famous food street. And Rmb 35 by taxi to the longmen grottoes. Overall not too bad given its price (rmb300).

    A Tale of Two Rooms

They may want to be 4-star, but it appears to be getting a little old. We stayed here one night. The first room we were in had defective air conditioning and a broken phone (which is OK except when the AC does not work). After complaining and having them check it out, they agree to move us to another room. This second room was much better, in that both the AC and the phone worked. The room was a little strange, however. First, there was no closet, just a hat rack on which to hang your clothes. Second, there was a window between the shower and the bedroom, with a window shade. Not sure what the designer was thinking. Maybe if there is nothing on TV? Or, maybe if you want to watch TV from the shower? So, I would probably give it one star for the first room and maybe call it three stars for the second room (with working AC and phone). Maybe if you pay more you get a better room (and my tour company did not?). I would not stay here again, unless I was sure that I booked a better room. The hotel may have free WiFi, but I was unable to get email or the internet anywhere in China, probably because the government blocks it.
