  Played golf and used spa

  The whole day was great. We showed up, checked in, got our lockers and went out to play golf. The course conditions were great. The rough is a little thick, but that just added to the challenge the course brings. There is plenty of water and challenges, but the course is very playable and we all had a great day at. After golf we eat some food and headed to the spa for a super relaxing massage. The atmosphere of the spa is very relaxing and warm. I am sure we will be back again.

  Great golf hotel

  The Golden Elegant Hotel is definitely a great golf hotel with all facilities necessary to spend a wonderful weekend - the only lowlight is that the gym only opens at 8 am - rooms are beautifully decorated and service is on the level as expected.

  Unusual Hotel

  We came to Langfang for business and were attracted to the golf associated with the Golden Elephant - although we played golf only once during our week-long visit. Overall, we had the impression that the Golden Elephant Hotel does not see many western travelers. The staff, while very nice and trying to be helpful, spoke very limited English. So, we struggled to find our way on our own. What we did discover, besides very nicely appointed rooms, was the amazing Chinese restaurant located in the hotel's golf clubhouse building. Two things brought us back there night after night - incredible food and a lovely restaurant manager named Huan Huan - full of spunk and eager to please. Through the course of many evenings there, we not only had delicious meals but impeccable service - and we were thoroughly delighted with Huan Huan's genuine interest in giving us the best experience possible. She was fabulous. So, while the hotel, overall, is a bit challenging for non-Chinese speakers, the restaurant is worth it. Just ask for Huan Huan and she will make sure your dinner experience is exceptional.
