  Spectacular!

  On the ocean side of Xiamen Island, and a few km from the centre of the city, this hotel has a spectacular view of the Taiwan Strait, uninterrupted by the roadway as the coastal ring road was "cut and covered" in front of the hotel. Fine restaurant, Chinese (including local) and western cuisine. Private dining rooms if required. Spa. Shops. Shuttle service. Adjacent to convention centre. Rooms very well appointed, among the best I have seen in China.

  Xiamen seaside

  Located adjacent to convention centre. There are very few English speaking staff. Choice of vegetarian food is limited. Rooms are big. Hotel is about 500 metres from beach and you cannot get down. The hotel collects room rent in advance and they don't believe in payment during check out time. At any point your bill amount should be nil. They also hesitate to take USD.

  A good and nice hotel but some few comments

  The hotel is located on the seaside but there's no beach dedicated only to the hotel. Access to the shopping centers and the sightseeing is easy but should take the taxi. The rooms are quite big and well equipped with necessary stuff. Bed is comfy and the rooms are very quite. A good and easy access to the Xiamen conference center from the hotel lobby. Chinese food and seafood in the restaurant is very good quality but avoid other foods (like western food) as the quality is not good at all. Another shortcoming is the English language. Staff speak few English and do not understand well but they are helpful and kind. Seaside rooms have a balcony with chairs and table and can enjoy the view to the sea. Another tip: it's preferred not to travel to Xiamen in the summer, it's quite hot and humid! In general it is suitable for a relaxing time in Xiamen.

  3 night stay

  The room was comfy and clean. The beds were OK, maybe a little on the hard side. A queensize bed was prepared, even though two single beds were requested. We had to wait a while for the latter to be arranged upon our arrival. Housekeeping was thorough. The bathroom was large and all plumbing fixtures worked. There was considerable construction happening in front of the hotel, which kept me awake on the first night. The hotel provided earplugs to help drown out the noise. The buffet breakfast was satisfactory. We tried the breakfast once but ate elsewhere for the duration of the stay. Check out was quick and effortless.

  Terrible and not professional service

  We were going to visit the hotels pool with friends so we called in advance and confirmed that we could bring our drinks and snacks with us. Everything was ok for the first 30 minutes, after some time some people come over and said that we cant have drinks but we can have snacks. After another 20 minutes they changed their mind again and said we cant have snacks too. If we knew that, we wouldnt choose this hotel so we were misled by their management few times (first by phone call, then at the sight). The managers dont know the rules (always say different things). And the pool security guy was very rude and didnt tell his name when we asked because we wanted to complain about him being rude to us (we could just take his picture). Conclusion: birthday spoiled. Terrible stuff (should be more knowledgeable for this ranking hotel)
