Fair transit hotelWe had a transit stopover from LAX to Osaka and was provided this hotel as a "luxury" accommodation. Rooms are clean but I wouldn't exactly say it's luxury. The experience failed in the luxury department in so many ways. From check-in, there were at least 7 employees helping 2 people in front of us. I get that they may have had a legitimate reason but we didn't even get so much as a greeting until we walked up and asked for assistance. On checkout, the employees were definitely SO much more helpful from asking about our needs such as calling a taxi to attempting to answer any questions we had. The only issue is that I wouldn't trust some of their answers if you're an English speaker. Maybe they don't understand as well as they appear to? But often times, the answers we received were slightly or completely inaccurate lol. Not mad though as I don't expect everyone to cater to the language I speak but just a word of warning.

Nice hotel, bad wifiThe hotel is nice, included breakfast is good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Wifi was a disaster. Taxi to or from the airport is cheap, about $3. I got the hotel room for free because of the long layover time in Xiamen.

Comfortable StayThis is the hotel used by Xiamen Airlines for passengers with extended layovers. There is a ticketing center for the airline located in the lobby. The room was clean, bright and quite comfortable with a view over the city. While not bad, the sound insulation between the room and hallway could be better. I was impressed with the array of amenities and toiletries and hot water in the shower was instant and plentiful. As mentioned in another review, staff appeared eager to know how I enjoyed my stay while checking out, but provided the wrong answer (and instructions to the taxi driver) in response to my questions, asked in English, about the appropriate airport terminal. The taxi ride took about 20-25 minutes (and about 50 Yuan) each way in the middle of the day, including the time and cost to correct the misunderstanding about the appropriate airport terminal.

Transit HotelLike most other reviewers, we stayed here because of taking the opportunity from Xiamen airlines with a 15 hour layover coming back from Bali to LA. We couldnt find the desk the first time over in the airport. The desk is located across from door 7 on the departure lounge. You do have to pay for a taxi. It was between 35-40 rmb. Well worth it for the free hotel. They had a huge selection for their free breakfast. Lots of vegetarian selections. Its also really close to paragon hotel which is a good place to grab a fancier lunch and see luxury stores.

Viva Xiamen HotelI stayed at this hotel on a transit stop, provided by airline. Hotel shows it age and it has a tobacco and old smell. Included breakfast, is horrible to say the least. Where they absolutely get a five stars is EXCELLENT SERVICE. Staff bend forward and backwards to accommodate EVERY single need we had!
