Not all it proposes to beThis hotel says it is an international business hotel but it leaves a lot to be desired. Practically no one speaks English and it was very difficult to ask questions during check in. The room was spacious but the carpet and curtains were stained. The air conditioning did not work and we had to open the windows to attempt to cool the room down. Cable Internet was available for an additional cost but the Chinese connector did not fit the standard western network plug. Also if you wanted to have a swim in the pool it would cost you another $ US25. While it may be better than a lot of Chinese hotels it is certainly not up to the standard of western international hotels.

Not clean, smoke everywhere, awful foodI was attending a conference. I was put into a smoking room. (Why don't they ask first if you want a smoking room? The default should not be "smoking"!!). I requested a change, it took a day, and they put me in another room on the same floor. The only difference seemed to be that this room didn't have an ash tray in it, otherwise, smelled just as bad. The carpet in the room had stains and there was other evidence that the room hadn't had a deep cleaning for a long time, but otherwise, the room was fine (good bed, acceptable furnishings, bathroom, etc.) Staff are friendly enough, but it is difficult finding someone who speaks English. Brought my ice-bucket to the bar and they couldn't figure out what I wanted, even with the ice bucket in my hand. Hoping to use the pool, but its full of men smoking which made the air horrible and I wondered then how clean the pool would be. Faded, dusty, plastic flowers and plants not real ones in the lobby, although the lighting was bright enough to support real flowers. Snacks during the coffee breaks were fine, but the food in the dining room was one of the worst I've ever had in a so-called 4 star hotel. The area has some nice monuments to see down the boulevard, but otherwise, there's nothing for tourists nearby, unless you want to shop at WalMart.

Good location; passable stayRoom was large and well-maintained but carpet was quite dirty. Wireless internet speed seemed to be affected when large groups gathered for conferences or weddings in the ballroom downstairs. Food in the restaurants was generally below average, especially the buffet items, which were among the worst I've had in a 5-star hotel. The casual "paomo" (traditional Xi'an cuisine) restaurant attached to the hotel has excellent and reasonably priced offerings. It's next to the hotel bakery that also has affordable and generally good breads and cakes. Short walking distance to good shopping.

FilthyThe carpet was filthy. The room stank. Wanted to check out is soon as I checked in. Stay away. The dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed in. The shower was dirty. Everything is old. The lighting is dim and depressing.

Part of Nexus GroupClean and tidy. Close to shopping area, night market and streets come to life at night. Breakfast very ordinary and not a great deal of western variety. Although the hotel in tidy it needs a bit of TLC. Carpets are dirty looking and rooms need maintenance
