  Stay somewhere else in Poros

  Booked for half board for a week. Superior room. Room is standard.. bathroom highly sub standard. Ok as a base I suppose. The food is horrendous. Cannot stress this enough. Do NOT expect a decent meal. Mentioned concerns to reception on 1st day who said they would pass on message to manager. Have yet to see or hear from a manager. 3rd day into holiday and we will not be attending evening meal again. Will have to pay to go elsewhere. Only good thing is the view from balcony. Never again and would never recommend this hotel to anybody particularly if they are expecting to eat there...!! Cannot quite believe such a low standard for a 4 star hotel.

  Very disappointing

  But for the beautiful bay view that this hotel offers from its sea facing rooms, I probably would have given it an even lower rating. By the end of our 6 nights, I was just glad to be going. We reserved a superior room, sea facing, and the hotel staff kindly upgraded us to a Junior Suite. Overall, the room could only be described as tired and not particularly clean. Apart from its grubby corners, we even opted to bring our own cups into the room for morning coffee because the ones in the room had old coffee marks. The bathroom was just awful with a cracked basin and the dirt around the rim, outlet and back of the vanity unit was pretty unsavoury. I've attached pics! The hand shower attachment pointed straight at the shower curtain over the bath and despite every effort to adjust it, water just seeped out everywhere on the floor, out the corner of the door and into the passage way. It was pretty evident that this was a long standing problem with the door and wall in the corner showing old signs of water damage. The towels were like sandpaper. We didn't bother with breakfast. On the up side, the reception staff were efficient, helpful and friendly and surely deserve to be running a better maintained hotel. The hotel's 4 stars rating is misleading. By UK and US standards, in my opinion, this hotel's standards definitely do not come close to 4 stars.

  Chic Hotel!!

  This hotel reminded me of some hotels you sometimes see in movies.It is very beautiful and everything we ate there was so amazing.Especially the honey guys: It was probably the most delicious honey I ever tasted in my life!

  Horrible room and amenities

  The covers of the bed had urine stains when you turn them . Refrigerators had no cooling temperature. Never again that wasnt not even a half a star hotel . The only positive thing is the private beach but even that one they havent change the sun chairs for a long time . As far the breakfast was horrible not much selection even the coffee was horrible . You had to pour your coffee from a coffee machine which was awful . Staff wasnt around to help . When you pay almost 190 Euros a night you expect good service and rooms clean .

  Inadequate operators of a great location.

  Booked a junior suite through their site based on their own images. Got a room that had nothing to do with those images or any "junior suite" standards. Bedroom small in size with a ridiculously minuscule bathroom. We asked the receptionist to change our room to either a junior suite as shown on their site or a simple double with the corresponding price reduction. She said it was impossible to change rooms as the others "where not sanitized", plus they would not be able to sanitize them at any point during our 2-day stay. And although she acknowledged the fact that the photos on their site had nothing to do with our room (she claimed they were "old photos" but that just seemed ridiculous as our current room was far worse than those "old" photos) she would not offer a solution either towards changing us to a new room or agreeing on a price reduction. In fact she didn't even feel obliged to say a simple "sorry". Unacceptable maintenance standards (mold and rust in bathroom and balcony, torn bedside lamp cover, stained sofa fabrics...), a totally unedible breakfast box that was literally thrown on the dirty floor outside our door, empty mini bar and complete absence of any room cleaning service during our 48 hours there. Overall a great shame as this is a historic building, an ode to 60's modernism by the celebrated architect Aris Konstantinidis occupying a prime location with the best view on the island. Until a new operator takes over and a major renovation takes place better stay away.
