  Blissful peace and quite.

  What a awesome hidden treasure,great house,great hosts,great food; and the most peaceful setting you will ever happen upon. Hand baked treats, boats gassed up and ready to use (free) to explore the lake this property is surrounded by. Really nice comfortable hosts, clean and cozy rooms, most with wood burning fireplaces. A yummy breakfast to start your morning. 5 guest rooms in the main house (2 with whirlpool tub) and two guest cabins on property. Just 2 1/2 hours West of Minneapolis,Truly a wonderful experience.

  An Island Escape, in Minnesota, near Battle Lake!

  We stayed in the Master Bedroom which not only has a fantastic view through all the windows, but the breeze was divine. Laying at night, I could see the moon through our window. The first floor common space was inviting and cozy, the owners, Bubba & Margie, great conversationalists and the food, great! What a refreshing and cozy place. So glad we found it and look forward to going again!

  Second annual trip to Xanadu!

  What a wonderful and relaxing place is Xanadu! Margie and Bubba are wonderful hosts! The room was beautiful, with a spectacular view of the lake. Breakfasts were fantastic! The food was hot, fresh, LOCAL, and totally delicious! Plenty of other extras around to make the stay as comfortable as if you are home -- fresh cookies 24/7, soda and water in the mini fridge, water activities, all free and readily available. All in all, this is the best B&B we've ever stayed in! We hope to be back every year to visit!

  Awesome summer vacation

  We stayed here with our family and had a lovely, fun-filled, and relaxing time. We have been coming here for over 11 yrs. This property is now owned by the Reinan family. The big house is whole-house rental on Airbnb. The cabins and house are available on the resort website. You get a code for entry into the cabins which works just fine. You have motor boats, canoes, sailboat, paddle board, fishing, and swimming dock with which to enjoy the lake. You can reach people if needed. This is a wonderful place for a family vacation!

  Beautiful and Relaxing

  This was the second time staying at Xanadu with girlfriends. The first time we stayed in the Big House (before it was available as a whole house rental)...highly recommended! The house is beautiful, relaxing, and perfect for large families or friend groups. This last time we stayed in the Front Porch Cabin. It was perfect for the 4 of us ladies...a large table for games, a sitting area for relaxing and watching the water, and enough room to stretch our legs. Amenities are great and so nice to be able to have the use of boats, canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards at no extra cost! The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and well kept. The current owners have done a fabulous job in bringing things up-to-date. Highly recommend staying at Xanadu!
