Not really worth the trip. Only good thing is pet allow.

    - Seclude location with pretty much nothing nearby, decent restaurants is 20+ kilometers away. - Pet allow - Very bad breakfast..... - We visited in June and the property is full of mosquitoes and the beach is not swimmable due to the sea insects that bite (I don't know what they are called)

    Inproper service vs hotel price

Accommodation is very private, calm, comfortable, but the location is worth for the price, but can be understood, the price may be high because the dog can stay. The dog charge is not inclusive with the room price. Dog's accomodate an additional 1,000 / night Facility is nothing much to do. Dog are not allow to use the pool, it turns out that the accompanying dog doesn't have any activity,Just changing the play to stay with your pet. Dirty pool not even clean before guest check-in, Leave spread all over the pool and sunbed, also white spot found on the cough. Check in (15:00) - Check out (11:00) is very harsh. In conclusion, this hotel took 4 hrs driving from Bangkok city to sleep, wake up and go back. I can't do anything. Because they don't have that much time and activities to do. Spa close at 5 pm. Defective service notification: When booking, ask the office, there is a "notification that a 20% discount for food and spa" - But when arriving, we have to order roomservices because it raining Therefore, not through the rain, walked to the dining room The office worker serving food said that 20% of the roomservice was not included. When going to the spa, the office worker informed that booking must be place in advance which at that time it was full. Not complete information enough and received proper answer from the Manager that all information is reported in the Comfirm statement But did not answer about the spa (Maybe being a Manager something has to weigh and buy the hearts of customers Because it's just a small matter with 20%, but the action today Is that we would like to buy with This hotel has branches all over But pushes the burden on customers only that they have to read the Comfirm card But didn't look at that The staff informs the customer incompletely and unclear information. Think about it. The size of the hotel, grades lower. The staff also gave more completely information than this. Almost 90%, no one reads the confirm card after paying for it. It will open up again to check the date we must have to visit (but it is a bad thing, this is our mistake) " The hotel has a high private level (far from prosperity), so Having a food has to be take at the hotel. If you want to drive out to eat by yourself, go into Hua Hin 30. minutes, Prachuap 20-30 minutes. More importantly, call yourself a hotel for the dog, but No swimming pool for dogs. You can only play in the sea (of course, if you can't play, we recommend closing the hotel, let's go) even in a long line to bath the dog before entering the room or in the room. Not yet available Take him to the sea There is only a rain shower in front of the way, really made for children. In conclusion, the cost of finding a place to take children to change the mattress for this trip Which if you have consciousness at home, you can get all the room + dog 7,000 baht 4 food costs 2,000 baht (choose to order Italian food, because I know that I still do not regret the cost of Thai-basil with pork as 320 baht ), gas for round trip 2,000 baht (95 gas), round up as 11,000 baht, nothing at all It is a trip that feels like a waste of money. There have been people who have reviewed it that it is not very effective. But we are not believed. So today I will be reviewing to hear from my personal experience. Because each person does not meet the same

This hotel is for your lovely dogs only!!

If you want to stay only yourselves (only human), you should stay other hotels. Service for staffs especially restaurant is very bad. Water in the room is salty, water in the bottle is very bad taste.

    Consider your other options...

Based on my four night stay between Xmas & New Year, Ive got mixed views about my experience at X2 Kui Buri (x2kb). I stayed in a deluxe ocean front pool villa, which based on room pricing with breakfast (prepaying via a booking website at an average THB 12,000/night, or roughly USD 400/night), would seem a premium room accommodation by Thailand standards, particularly during Covid. While not exactly comparable, even the justifiably famed Mandarin Oriental hotel in BKK offers prepaid, high season accommodation rates in a similar price range. As a seasoned global traveler with elite-tier loyalty status with several global hospitality brands & stays at numerous legendary hotels across the globe, admittedly my expectations may not be typical. Nonetheless, I offer my opinion & observations about items that are important to me. - Villa #4. While x2kbs room interior design was aesthetically pleasing, IMO overall room maintenance & cleanliness surprisingly, was decidedly sub par. Many room finishings, fittings & fixtures are shabby or brokene.g., peeling wall & cabinetry veneer & base moldings; broken table lamp; cracked glass counter tops; unvarnished, worn terrace decking. The bathroom, especially, showed major wear & tear with need for improvemente.g., sub-functional wash basin & bath tub fixtures & shower heads; very poor shower stall water drainage; heavily lime-scaled shower tiling & pipes; worn-to-the-brass chrome or rusted-out bath & basin fixtures; leaking basin spout; peeling silicon grouting; mirror rot back-of-glass coating. A different matter, in the room, cheap paper napkins (as typically seen at Thai food courts or street-side restaurants) are provided in lieu of more customary Kleenex-style tissuesthis was notably jarring inasmuch as other bathroom amenity products were of appropriate higher quality. My expectation, frankly, had been for a room displaying careful, diligent upkeepso this evident disrepair was thoroughly disappointing for me, given the room price. - F&B at 4K restaurant. With a new Covid surge underway in Thailand, it was comforting that Covid safety precautions were an important consideration by x2kb & staff, as well as the guests then in residencee.g., spacious dining table distancing, ample hand sanitization products like gels & gloves; face masking. I was satisfied with the breakfast offering (a hybrid buffet & a la carte arrangement) that made for an interesting, varied & high quality meal. Very commendable were the F&B staff who were especially knowledgeable, attentive & guest-service centric. My major good surprise regarding F&B was the special Xmas dinneraside from the F&B staffs fine service, the menu offering, high quality ingredients, & careful meal preparation & elegant presentation reflected what I understand is the executive chefs past experience at high-end Thailand hotels. IMO this particular meal as well as a different dinner, were as good as one would find in BKKs finest (more pricey) restaurants, & to me provided a fair & quite reasonable value-for-price proposition. - x2kb ambiance. Being far away from other commercial enterprises, this is a relaxing, adult-oriented resort property, in a quiet, remote locale. The accessible, fronting beach is pristine with quite limited public usagemaking for enjoyable beach strolls when the tide was out. Though a relatively compact property footprint, the x2kb physical layout allows for a lot of guest privacy & no public noise. The x2kb public spaces are tidy but in some ways, IMO they too show disrepair & that facility maintenance & upkeep seems a lower priority at x2kbe.g., pool side lounge deck was filthy with badly worn wood finish; rotten wood deck boards & dangerously protruding decking screws; threadbare pool towels. Peculiar to me is that the main pools public restroom was in far better condition than that in my villa (but even that bathroom only provided cheap paper napkins rather than suitable paper hand towels). According to in-room signage the x2kb staff is intentionally unobtrusive, giving priority to guest privacy. Incidentally, the fine service from the 4K F&B team was a complete contrast to the x2kb front desk staff who displayed minimal guest relations savvythey were quite adept at saying no or I dont know, without first volunteering what seems an obvious, more guest helpful & proactive let me find out or similar; nor were they even perfunctorily courteous by offering any simple thank you for your stay at time of my check-out/payment. IMO thats simply bad manners on their part, & they came up short on their various guest-facing moments of truth. I would hesitate to personally recommend this property to family or friends, given what I deemed to be the overall shabby condition of the more premium priced ocean front villa accommodation (perhaps thered be better value with other room types). At the same time, I dont know but assume that Covid, which led to disastrous Thailand tourism levels & low guest occupancy numbers for others, perhaps caused x2kb to make difficult choices regarding their monetary & other resources concerning maintenance & upkeep. That said, x2kb remained open, so naturally my & I think prospective guests expectations would be for business & quality standards as usual (aside from Covid-related safety precautions). To me, giving a most charitable assessment, the overall x2kb quality & guest service standard was uneven,. While the location & physical setting is stellar, & theres a laudable F&B operation, Im not convinced whether these features alone justifies another stay on my part. The overall price-to-value relationship for me was misaligned for my satisfaction. Furthermore, its not especially clear to me, from reading other guests reviews from their past stays, whether x2kb management takes to heart & actions the feedback shared by its guests. To the contrary, IMO x2kb managements responses to guest critiques could read like platitudes. I for one shall consider other hotel stay options on future visits to Kui Buri & its surrounding area.
