Lindo lugar!

Noisy unitWe were pleasantly surprised the facility had an elevator for us to use since we were on the bottom floor. Being on the bottom floor resulted in hearing all the noise from the people above us. It was constant running back-and-forth and it sounded as if kids may have been running back and forth and jumping up-and-down which was very annoying. Also anytime someone in the units above us flushed the toilet we would hear that flushing noise and the water going to the pipes. The furnace and the unit was also ferry noisy. Every time the furnace ran it was loud. The panel on the washing machine was loose. And I could not get the washer to work. The maintenance man checked it and tightened the panel and was not able to fix the dial on the machine because he did not have the part that needed fixed. He fixed that enough that we could use the time cycle only to do our laundry. He offered to bring another washing machine but we told him that we would be satisfied with just using the one cycle rather than going through the hassle of moving a washing machine. The wristbands to enter the unit were wonderful. We did not have to always look for the key card. Excellent improvement. The people working at the front desk at check in were absolutely wonderful. They provided us information for local restaurants and discounts which we used.

Small Problems This StayWe stay here 5 or 6 times a year and have for years so this isnt our first stay at this resort. This recent trip was our worse experience. First when I went to check in one of the staff members started in on wanting me to go to a timeshare meeting and I would receive a $100 gift card. She was very friendly and that is her job. Nothing they did wrong but I had a very bad experience with a salesperson in the past at a different timeshare so they wouldnt be able to convince me to go for $500. When we got into our room it was decent. Later that evening we come to find out that there wasnt enough hot water to fill our hot tub in the room to minimum capacity. We had to boil hot water on the stove with pots and pans to have enough warm water. The next morning we noticed that the coffee maker wasnt working correctly. That following evening we decided to check out the in - door poll area. The in- door pool was very cold and uncomfortable so we went outside to try the out - door heated pool where we noticed every one was swimming. The outdoor temperature was much warmer in the middle of February. I wanted to try the hot tub outdoors which was always one of my favorite things on our trips and come to find out that it wasnt working. This was really a bummer cause it was one of the things we were really looking forward too during our week long trip. Last fall we stayed on the other side and the in-door pool was closed on that side. This trip was really our worse experience but we have had really good experiences in the past. If you call they do their best to make things right and no one is perfect but this trip really seemed to be sort of a bummer. The town was full of people and over crowded which didnt make a whole lot of sense being this is off-season. We left the condo for Gatlinburg at 11:36am and didnt make it into Gatlinburg until 3:15pm from bumper to bumper traffic. After we got there all parking areas were full so we spent the day in traffic trying to make it back to the condo and didnt make it back to Sevierville until 6:18pm that evening. Becoming afraid that this great vacation area is becoming over crowded with tourists and may not be the best place to visit anymore.
