  Great Location

  This resort is in a great location with lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. If you tried to drive though, parking is difficult to find or non-existent and you have to pay to park everywhere. Unit was clean and well maintained, although soundproofing isn't very good so we heard the hall traffic and the television, etc. in the units next to us. Wasn't a huge problem for us, but 'expect it.' Found lots of things to do in the area, although calling ahead for everything is good due to Covid. The Newport Car Museum was a favorite, as was The Servants Tour at The Elms.

  We were lucky to visit during Covid. The cleaning was very good. The unit was very nice with a nice view. Only the pool is open now, and you need to make a reservation to use it, we did not use it. The resort looks like it normally has nice amenities.

  Great Location

  We stayed at Wyndham Long Wharf in November 2020, as the covid virus was surging throughout the country. Newport seemed to do everything possible to keep the downtown safe - there were signs on the streets requiring people to wear masks. The stores had their doors open and had hand sanitizer at the entrances. Many of the restaurants were set up for outdoor dining and had heaters. The resort itself was very clean, our room was spotless! We had a nice sized two bedroom/two bathroom. Most of the resort amenities were closed due to covid, although the indoor pool was open. The resort itself if very walkable to Newport's downtown area. You will need to drive to the Mansions. The Lobster Shack across the street from the resort has AMAZING lobster bisque. Belle's Cafe, across the street in the boatyard, is a great option for breakfast -the French Toast was delicious!

  Almost good

  We stayed here to visit family for Christmas while maintaining social distancing. While the stay was overall good, a couple of things fell short, possibly due to lack of manning with Covid or training enforcement. We arrived after a snow storm. Many of the parking spots were not plowed, but a shovel was available for guests. Amenities (gym, etc) were closed. Apparently this included laundry facilities, so we lucked out by having our own with the 3-bedroom suite. The indoor/outdoor pool was open. There was a supposed restriction of 14 people plus attendant, but we left when there were definitely more than 14 in the room. It was first-come, first-serve, so having a reservation system would have been preferable. The outdoor section was nice during warmer/sunny days. Housekeeping was erratic. We found crumbs on the counter when we arrived, but I had planned to wipe down everything anyway. Staff also knocked on our door before checkout without a mask on. Maintenance seemed to be ongoing, but those were minor inconveniences. There was also some roof/gutter renovations; a couple of taped sections would have been good as we often walked into a person on a ladder or had a gutter piece flying down the sidewalk right in front of us. The worst aspect was beyond the hotels control. We left as the New Years crowd started to arrive, with several playing loud music and having mini parties in their rooms. Best part was proximity to Newports stores and restaurants. Belles was closed for the season, but one could still walk to Liberty Donuts and Starbucks for breakfast, as well as the stops on Thames. There was also several parks along the river on either side of the hotel to walk and enjoy the outdoors.

  Great resort with fabulous location!!!!

  Highly recommend this Resort! The units have all been updated, the staff is friendly and helpful and location is great! There are two full baths and a full kitchen with everything you need to cook. I recommend paying no attention to the older comments because they no longer apply. They've done a great job updating the resort. We were there offseason. The pool was open you swim from indoors to Outdoors. The outdoor pool was closed however it's in a great location and they have a nice patio around the pool with grills that can be used offseason.
