  Lovely hotel, wonderful stay

  I stayed over the weekend in Midland while visiting a friend and had a great time at the Wyndham Garden. The front desk staff was attentive and very friendly, my room was clean and spacious. The king bed was so comfortable it was quite hard to get up in the morning! I had breakfast from the restaurant which came out promptly, and it was hot and delicious. I like to walk and would walk around the property and it was very clean and tidy, inside and out. They also have a great bar/dance area inside the hotel. The next time Im in midland I will definitely be staying here again.

  Not our best stay

  Our room did not have sugars or creamers for the 1 coffee that was available. All the body wash and soaps were not in the room. Therefore it seems like the room was not properly cleaned and prepared for us. The kid at check-in was not very friendly. He was not rude, just wasn't very welcoming. The lobby is very weird so we walked in circles thru the lobby and pool area trying to find stairs or an elevator to the second floor. We finally found an elevator and it almost broke on us. Never used that again, it was better to use the stairs, walk outside, and go all the way around the building to get to the lobby. A few days after checking out I noticed a $100 charge on my account. After calling I was told it was for having a pet in the room which I did not. After telling her that, she went on to tell me that we did indeed have a pet and housekeeping either saw us or evidence of a pet was left behind. After talking to someone else it was proven that we infact did not have a pet in the room and our money was refunded. If I had not checked my account, I never would known and Wyndham would have charged me $100 for nothing. This is the kind of place that robs people. Yes I got my money back, but how many people have they done this to.

  Decent service, OK room, No hot water/shower

  The property is OK, but not great. I was very disappointed in the morning when I went to shower. I let the hot water run for quite some time and it barely got tepid. Then when I went to switch the water to the shower head, barely a trickle came out. I tried several times before giving up and washing my hair under lukewarm water in the sink. At check out I received and "I'm sorry" from a less that helpful clerk.

  Really nice staff

  Stayed here with my girlfriend while on a road trip. Its been a difficult couple of months and we were exhausted but the staff was really kind and attentive. Glad we found this place. The beds were really comfortable. If we ever head back that way, well stop again!

  Dont stay here

  Different rates advertised, rooms stink like mold, tv didnt work, clerk could not offer anything back, restaurant was not open, clerk said they would price match but could not do it, bed softness was the only good thing. Would not stay here again....this is what u get when you take over an existing run down motel
