  Great location, ok property

  Sandestin Resort offers many amenities away from the hustle and bustle of the SWB area. A gated community consisting of 4 golf courses, numerous housing options, including ocean front and ocean view high rise condos, several shopping and dining areas amongst 2600 acres of development! Wyndham Bay Club II is situated away from the Gulf overlooking a bay. Most views of the bay are obstructed by other buildings and trees however. Covered parking is limited and extremely difficult to maneuver. We chose to park on the surface lot. One elevator was quite noisy and bounced within its evevator shaft, it did not leave its passengers with a sense of safety. Our room faced the bay and was tired and not very clean. The dishwasher did not work properly as the unit was not seated properly in the cabinet.The racks did not fit well inside. The outside of the refrigerator had not been cleaned as dried food stuck to the handle and to the dented side of the refrigerator. The layout was good, the furniture was well used. The carpet was also well used and needed to be cleaned and properly vacuumed on a regular basis. The 2nd bath was ok, except the tub had rust near the overflow. The tile surrounding the tub exhibited black mold in the grout in several places. The master bath also displayed numerous areas of black mold in the grout- suggesting the bathrooms have not been thoroughly cleaned in some time. Stepping into the shower, I noticed that my feet were quite dirty, I figured out it was sand- a more complete vacuuming of the unit is called for on a regular basis. The windows and the sliding patio door were quite dirty and did not operate well due to the dirt in the door & window channels. The Bay Club II units open to an atrium, which offers covered interior hallways open to the lower floors. Noise echoes throughout the interior of the building. The tile floors are frequently wet due to condesation from each units dryers. So every one must be cautious as to how they walk down the relatively narrow walkways. One side of the building has limited views of the bay, the other side has views of the parking lot. This property is a Wyndham Time Share within the Sandestin Resort. Some of the adjoining and nearby buildings (other condos restaurant pool area, spa and golf course buildings) exhibit a lot of deferred maintenance which is disappointing. The rest of the resort is very attractive and appealing. Due to scheduling for this timeshare, we spent 2 additional nights in another room overlooking the parking lot. This room had been recently updated with newer carpeting and tile flooring. The appliances were much cleaner and all worked well. I thought we were at a different property!

  A Relaxing Location and Staff

  This was a 4 day weekend for us and and my first time here. Golfers, this is a great place but I didnt pick up a single club. There is fun freshwater fishing, close access to the beach, and a world of relaxing trails. The Warf is fun too! The resort was what we have come to expect from Wyndham in terms of the suite. Clean, updated, and well situated as always. The staff were great, no pressure sales here! They were very accomodating. The garage is a tight squeeze for our extended cab pick up but outdoor parking is available as well.

  Vacation

  A great place for a vacation, apartments fantastic, clean and comfy beds, lots to do and free shuttle bus to various places, including the beach. Visit The village Door as a great view Of marina. Spa expensive though.

  Needs some updating and maintenance in unit 544

  First, the grounds around the resort area are beautiful. But! We are currently in unit 544 and it really needs some maintenance. There is ALOT of rust inside the freezer, under the lid of the washer, and outside the door of the dishwasher. The shower door in the master bedroom won't even shut all the way and looks like it could fall off. The toilet is in its own room and the light is a fluorescent bulb that takes a long time to brighten up. So if you turn it off and come back an hour later, it's completely dark when you shut the door. And the worst part is that my husband killed a roach while ago running across the kitchen counter! As for the resort, the big pool overlooking the bay WOULD be great except everytime we get in it's filthy with debris and bees floating. It's also a bit old looking but mostly it needs cleaning more often. The inside of the building has an open atrium that looks straight down when you walk out of your unit. But! NO AIR CONDITIONING! You have to stand there in sweltering heat waiting on the elevator. All of the 3 tvs are much tinier than we are used to with other Wyndhams also. Other than that it's pretty clean, beds are very comfy. One last thing, the "parking pass" guy does not know the meaning of the word NO to the member update meeting.

  Wyndham Bay Club

  We stay in Wyndham Bay Club which was beautiful. The ocean was beautiful but we had to be shuttle bussed to the beach. Was suppose to be close to the beach but was a mile away. Was told it would be ocean or bay side.
