  Wonderful stay

  Royal suites and towers , exceeded my expectations of China hotel. Having travelled extensively in china, I have lowered a lot of my standards and expectations. But this hotel and staff really made my stay worthwhile. Front desk was extremely polite and attentive . The room was clean and they had an exclusive woman's floor, the room was tastefully decorated and bed was really nice . They had a choice of pillows to choose. buffet was a wide variety of Western and Asian spread . I was spoiled for choice. Hotel is also located near subway and taxis are also easy to get. Will definitely only stay here when I visit WU Han

  Self Important

  Don't get me wrong this is a very nice hotel but anywhere that expects you to pay £100 per night deposit (so if you are here for a fortnight that's £1400) needs to be uber special if you ask me, and this place is not that good. The reception staff are polite and the English isn't that bad either but they are not very fast. The rooms are of a good size and comfortable, but no mini bar (? what is the deposit for), iron or any of the little extras you would expect at a 5* hotel. The corridors are dark, the décor is tasteful but cheap, The ground floor coffee bar is lacking in atmosphere and lighting. The buffet style restaurant where you have breakfast is nice, but the plates are cold and the service rather lacking. I found it rather disconcerting to be looking into the kitchen on the way to the toilet as well. Outside rather suffers from neglect, as the water features is broken and if you sit there after dark you can watch rats/ ferrets running about!These comments might seem petty as the hotel is clean and comfortable but in my book if you are required to pay top dollar you should expect that little bit extra.

  Upmarket hotel with great staff.

  I'd just like to thank all the staff at this hotel for making such an effort to help the non Chinese speaking bunch of people I was travelling with. Wuhan is not a place where you'll encounter much that isn't in Chinese (and is all the better for it). So the staff dont speak much English but they couldn't have tried harder, at the front desk, in the rooms and in the restaurant, do have helped a whole bunch of people with different languages and different requirements. The rooms are excellent if you're there on business and the restaurant's good quality; the breakfasts were a particularly imaginative mix up of Chinese and Western items.

  It looks better than what it feels

  My room has a living room, a balcony(can't be opened,you don't wanna open it anyway due to the quality of air) and a bar, the bar looks like a kitchen but it's not, there's no stove nor microwave; room is not so clean and bathroom feels cheap. Terrible breakfast; OK service; good free WiFi; same as most other hotels I have stayed in China: it went down to 13c at night and there's no heater in room. There are constructions going on so it's not a nice neighborhood to walk around, and kind of noisy too.

  Home from home in this busy city

  The suite including living area with desk, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, were very comfortable clean and in a very good state. The rest of the hotel were also great. I found the staff very helpful and always willing to assist (in English) with Taxis, irons and also when I locked myself out of the safe! The only negative points I can make was about the chaotic street immediately on one side of the hotel (so not the hotels issues and temporary) where a new metro line is being built. Because of this the windows should be kept shut to avoid the dust, but the rooms are airconed so no problem. The works did not cause any noise issues and I found the hotel a nice haven from the busy Wuhan streets.
