Not good value for moneyWe stayed several nights in what is supposed to be a holiday apartment but which really appears to have been a suite that has been renamed though not upgraded. So you get a single hotplate (my fault for not reading the description properly), a mini-bar fridge (pretty filthy and not really cleaned properly despite our requests), two plates, two forks, two teaspoons..... minimalist is hardly the word. A microwave oven is balanced on what appears to be a shoerack. This is pretty poor for a five-star place, especially when the main room itself is pretty spacious, with a comfortable sofa. The bedroom was nicely cool, with a very comfortable bed. Nice bar in the hotel, as well. At over 100 euros a night, though, this is pretty expensive, and especially given that they charge 30 euros for `final cleaning' after your stay. Which obviously doesn't really include the fridge.

First rate in all respects except internet accessI stayed in this hotel for four nights in September 2011. The first room I was assigned (#42) - palatial to say the least - had very poor internet connection. The hotel's resident techie tried his best to get me up to speed but failed. On his recommendation I was assigned a different room (#62), where the connection worked flawlessly. Since the hotel is made up of several distinct buildings, it seems they have a problem with providing adequate signal strength in all the disparate locations. However, not everybody cares about the quality of internet access. ;) This hotel is tops in all other respects in my books. Comfortable, quiet and clean rooms. A restaurant serving meals to die for. Efficient and friendly staff. The location is not so great unless you like walking a lot. And then some. But it makes great sense if you come by car. Except for that twenty-something waiter who thought he could butter up a seventy-something guest by calling him 'young man'. What a loathsome habit some waiters don't seem to be able to resist.

Wonderful, peaceful hotelStayed here in August during a spell of glorious weather, but this review would have been the same without that. Huge room, very clean and well looked after during our stay; nice outdoor space with table, chairs and sunbeams outside the room; exceedingly good value restaurant where the food - especially the fresh fish - is excellent; and very friendly staff all add up to a memorable experience. The hotel is made up of a series of thatched houses which add to the atmosphere, with views down to a reed surrounded lake. The swimming pool is small but effective. The only drawback is the uncertain wifi, but we got there with that in the end...

Real DumpFront desk personnel not friendly. Screwed up the reservation so I had to pay for two nights while only staying one night. Very steep stairs very hard to climb with luggage and no elevator. No hotel offered to help even though they were fully aware of the trouble we we having getting our luggage up the stairs. Once in the room you had better duck your head because the room was carved out of attic space. not the cleanest room Ive stayed at wither
