  Comfortable and convivial place to stay

  We stayed for five nights and the accommodation was very good and well-situated for a stay in Chichester. Fishbourne Palace is only a ten-minute walk and frequent buses almost immediately outside the inn are about seven minutes away from Chichester Cathedral. Staff are all friendly and could not have been more helpful. Breakfasts offered a wide choice and traditional roasts two nights a week are delicious. 1940s photos of the Inn decorate the walls and it also has a farm shop. In all, a most enjoyable stay also when one travels on public transport.

  SHOCKING!!!!

  Turnt up after a long travel down from Bristol and a days work to bogeys on the wall with blood. Pubic hair over the toilet seat. Mould all over the bathroom ceiling. Wouldnt even let my dog sleep in there. Disgusting!!!

  Good value for money

  Can only write about my experience. Stayed here as we were attending a funeral at the nearby church. As we only paid £65 for b&b my expectations weren't high but found this to be excellent value for money. Room was clean with tea & coffee making facilities. Although facing the road we didn't hear anything all night, it was very quiet. Bathroom could do with a little tlc but was clean enough. Bed very comfortable. Adjoining pub served excellent food. Breakfast was adequate and well cooked. Staff very friendly. Would stay here again. Will say that people who pay these sort of prices shouldn't expect five star accommodation .

  Weekend break

  Fantastic service and food. Comfortable clean rooms. Staff are amazing. Safe social distancing measures in place. Visited many times. Breakfast is amazing. Very helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Will be back very soon.

  Takeaway carvery disaster

  Ordered a takeaway carvery for collection with over 24hrs notice. Given a timescale to collect, and waited nearly an hour to be able to collect our food. Completely ridiculous. Loads of people in cars and in the restaurant also in the same position. Used to eat here regularly before covid but now would not come back. Too busy trying to make money that they don't care about people waiting or organising.
