  Worst hotel in Wilkes barre

  This place was a mess. There is no front desk at night. Prostitution and Drugs everywhere. Disgusting rooms. We found needles and condoms in 2 rooms. I later found out that this is a big problem at this hotel.

  The most disgusting place to stay

  I called to make a reservation and was told to make it online. So I did. I arrived and was informed that my reservation could not be found...they find me a room.... it was disgusting and dirty. I came for work and chose this dump of a hotel because the hotel was close to my work. In the 3 weeks I was there they never came and cleaned my room. I had to ask the front desk people for the cleaning supplies just to clean my room before even moving my stuff in. The front desk staff hid in the back room from the guests and refused to help when asked. The washers and dryers didnt work right. I ended up going to a laundromat to wash my clothes. They never cleaned the hallways or stairways. They were filthy dirty and smelled like human urine!! There were no dishes or anything in the room. People were loud and smoking in the rooms. And while I was there 2 people passed away. Police were at the hotel a lot. Overall the most disgusting place to stay. I will never be back!!

  Needs Management

  We came up from N.C.for a funeral. Location was good since it has 4 dining establishments steps from the entrance. Upon entering the room it reeked of smoke. My husband went to let them know and they gave him a can of air freshener. The floor had not been cleaned there was no toilet paper or washclothes. I have never seen such a dirty room upon check in. I heard a dog barking at least a half hour. Very thin walls you could hear everything. Elevator had trash on the floor. If you need anything past 9 forget it no one on staff. I looked up other properties in other states and they have good reviews. I was very disappointed I would not stay again unless they greatly improve.

  Much improvement Needed - Go with AIR BNB instead

  As I am writing this I am staying in WS Suites in Wilke-Barre, PA. This place has to be one of the worst places I have stayed in. I was placed in a room on the 3rd floor, the people above me were like a herd of elephants...constant foot noise/traffic...this ceilings I assume, the hallways have a CONSTANT smell of weed in them....drug activity....I asked to be relocated to the 4th floor (eliminates the ceiling noise as there is no 5th floor).....I was placed in a room that is next to a room with 2 dogs; that bark constantly. OYYYY! I know that $40 a night is cheap, but damn!.....It is virtually impossible to get staff; often times I get voice mail. I should have stuck with an AIR BNB like i normally do, but I wanted to give WS Suites an opportunity.....and it failed. I cannot recommend this site, in particular.

  DONT DO IT!!

  I am a traveling healthcare worker covering COVID emergencies. My stay at this hotel was the worst thing Ive ever done in my entire life. I got a phone call just before I began my 5 hour drive. The front desk was trying to cancel my room!! I had nowhere to go. In hindsight I shouldve let them!! They put me right next to a stairwell. People on the steps and slamming doors all night. I had my family come to visit me during my trip. At 3:30 am we were woken up by a slamming headboard as the neighbors were having sex and yelling in the next room. My room was filthy I cleaned it myself at check in and the mop was disgusting. No smoking and It stunk like weed and cigarettes. HUGE crashes jumping and pounding above my room all night every night. One was the last straw. 2AM it sounded like someone had been thrown into a wall. I got up (I had to be at work by 7am) packed my belongings and RAN to a new hotel! I was so tired I was physically ill. To top it off at check out I was overcharged by $240.00. They charged me for the whole week instead of 2 days which threw my checking account into a negative balance and have not been refunded my money yet!! If you are thinking of staying in this filthy horror run for your life!
