Above and Beyond the Call of Duty

We took advantage of the dinner, room and gig deal offered by the hotel for the recent Skids acoustic gig. On arrival we were met by John on reception who told us we had been upgraded to the Rennie Suite. The room was excellent. It was clean, comfy and had an amazing amount of space. Our dinner that even was first class. I opted for the haggis starter followed by good old haddock and chips. The wife chose the soup and a risotto dish. We both had the tiramisu for dessert. We couldn't fault any of it. I should say at this point the bar had a decent choice of whisky which suited me down to a T. Due to fact we were on the deal, our seats at the gig were reserved for us. We were in the front row. What a great venue for intimate gigs like this. We were wined and dined, entertained and accommodated without leaving the building. In fact, the only time we had to leave the building was for our breakfast in the morning. For some reason we had to eat breakfast at a restaurant down the street, but honestly, the breakfast was so good, the 100 yard walk didn't really matter. Overall, we enjoyed our stay so much, we decided to treat ourselves and booked again. Great hotel with excellent staff.

The staff were fantastic and very friendly

We booked a last minute itison voucher for an overnight before returning to work after Christmas. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or any more helpful (even when we asked if we be moved from the suite to a smaller room so that we could watch TV in bed ;-) ). The rooms aren't fancy but are very clean and comfortable with a certain old school charm. The meal which is served in a dining room with a stain glass roof taken from a 19th century ship was home cooked fayre but done extremely well and the bar prices were very reasonable. We managed to sleep in for breakfast but the staff once again came up trumps buy paying for our breakfast at the deli down the road, which is owned by the same people. The village itself has a couple of quaint little pubs and vintage shops again staffed by extremely friendly staff/owners. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back

    Very pleasant overnight stay

Stayed in a superior double room for 1 night recently. Very spacious and comfortable. Bathroom decor a bit dated but very clean. Had wonderful dinner in the dining room. Would definitely recommend, especially if you can get an itison deal.

    Wonderful Stay!

I couldn't fault this hotel, just lovely! We had room 17 a twin which was very large and comfortable. Shower amazing! Evening meal 10/10. as was breakfast! staff very friendly and professional. Hotel in the centre of Aberdour not far from train station, we were only there for 1 night would have loved to have stayed longer (next time definitely) Would highly recommend for a break away, ideal walks and beautiful beaches nearby

    Can't make up my mind....

Booked two doubles for two people and got a double and single. The double was excellent, the single was small, pokey, tired, and not worth the money...whatever deal you get. Parking very limited and full at 3pm because of events at the hotel. On street parking is ok. Reasonable breakfast but had to ask for orange juice and cereal neither of which had been refreshed on the buffet bar. Bookings had been prepaid via online booking engine but at checkout full payment was sought. The onus was on me to prove I had paid. No apology. Have stayed before and had a much better and smoother experience which is why I can't make up my mind!!
