  Fantástico

  Excelente hotel, la familia que lo regenta son muy agradables, nos han ayudado en las reservas de restaurantes e informaciones de la zona, hemos coincidido con otro grupo de españoles y todos estaban encantados. Las habitaciones amplias, luminosas, con vistas a la bahía. El desayuno fantástico. Felicitaciones

  Recomendable al 99.99%

  Buen hotel, tranquilo, cómodo, limpio... El bar-restaurante con buena comida y empleados simpáticos. Situado a unos 1500m del pueblo. La única pega que le pongo al hotel es que si hace mucho viento fuera, en la habitacion lo oyes perfectamente, como si fuera a levantar el techo. Recomendable sin dudas!

  Beautiful family hotel in a lovely peaceful setting

  We stayed here for a few days as a short break and could not recommend it highly enough. Lovely clean place, stunning setting on the outskirts of Girvan looking onto the Irish Sea. Michael and the team here are lovely and could not be more helpful. We will certainly be back

  Didn't even bother

  Arrived, place in darkness, a bit scruffy from the outside, no cars in the car park, reception in blackness, called, no answer. I assumed there must be an issue (maybe the lockdown rules had changed while I was occupied and driving since early morning) or I had come to the wrong part of the farm. I drove around a bit, called back and had a very stroppy reponse 'well, I guess I'll have to come and meet you at reception'. Well, I don't know - maybe just don't bother? My five year old was crying, so I decided to call it quits and go home. With the covid situation worsening and arrangements seeemingly not watertight, I am sure I did the right thing. Let's face it I could have carried on, but sometimes its best not to. I paid the full amount and they are entitled to keep it.

  Excellent accommodation, perfect location, kitchenette a big bonus

  The Woodland Bay Hotel is perfectly placed for staying overnight before/after a ferry crossing between Scotland and Ireland. It is just around 30 minutes drive from Cairnryan. My husband and I stayed there 3 times between August and October 2020 and were very impressed. The room was clean, the beds comfortable and it was great to have the kitchenette which we used both to make an evening meal and to enjoy the breakfast provided by the hotel. Even without the Covid restrictions we would opt for this set up which is so much better and more convenient than set breakfast times and busy dining rooms with other guests. The setting is beautiful with a lovely beach just across the road. The owners were friendly and helpful especially when we needed to change our travel plans a couple of times due to a couple of unexpected issues which arose. Highly recommended.
