  Thanks Mary for the lovely welcome to Withy Cottages and our stay in 'Willow'. We could not recommend your accommodation highly enough, with lovely gardens and facilities. It was clean and superbly maintained and we were grateful to all your assistance and care shown throughput our stay. We will be back!

  Over night stay

  I stayed here with my two children (7 and 5), partner and dog for the evening on our way to Cornwall. We stayed in cottage 1. The cottage was clean and had all the amenities we needed plus more. There was a lovely garden area for the kids to play with a pool table. There was colouring a and board games available for the kids which was a lovely unexpected touch. Upon arrival there was bread, butter and fresh eggs left in the cottage for us plus 2 bottles of cider which was lovely and well needed after the drive with the kids. I would 100% recommend staying here and I will definitely return on my next trip to Cornwall! Just lovely!

  Absolutely Fabulous

  Because of the lockdown situation I decided to stay in the UK for a week rather than chance going abroad. I am so pleased I did. This place is a gem. It isn't the Cotswolds by way of picture postcard beauty - but neither are the prices. I stayed with my son in cottage "Withy 1" - absolutely spotless. There are two well apportioned bedrooms, a really nice living room with a log burner and a great modern kitchen. The facilities are excellent - an arrival hamper of eggs, bread and drinks etc was a really nice touch. The outside area private to the cottage has a beautiful patio and a superbly equipped BBQ. The surrounding area has some great restaurants - The Devonshire Arms and The Fire House are both really good places to eat. Thoroughly recommended - I'm glad I was able to experience because of conditions - would always return

  First cottage holiday... wonderful!

  I was lucky that Withy had a one night vacancy and decided to book the cottage next to my the one where my husband and son had been staying for the week on the basis that they were having a great time. Myself and my daughter were impressed, spotlessly clean, lovely toiletries, fresh eggs, bread, milk, cereal and even cider waiting for us. Cosy but modern and easily able to accommodate a family of 4. Beautiful big shower shower and fresh crisp beds. Netflix on the telly ! The grounds are lovely, set back from the road and peaceful... each cottage has its own seating area and barbecue. Theres not an awful lot to do in the immediate vicinity but if you dont mind driving its well placed for lots of lovely day trips. We went shopping at Clarks Fashion Outlet and had we stayed longer would have visited Lyme Regis, Jurassic Coast etc.. I read in the visitors book that one guest had gone bat spotting after dinner at the local church yard, well we werent that adventurous but when we got home from dinner we stood in the garden and gazed up at the millions of stars in the sky... beautiful.

  Chilling out in a vintage caravan

  As travelling abroad is no longer a safe option , my sister and i chose to stay in the wonderful vintage caravan at withy cottages for a weekend at the end of August. What an amazing place. Mary is a lovely kind lady and made us feel very welcome. Our friendly neighbours the bluebells and the other hens were equally friendly . The caravan was situated in a very peaceful garden area. We were able to sit outside In the evening warmed by the firepit and as dusk fell we were visited by several bats... perfect. The interior of the caravan was delightfully restored with a retro feel. The bed and seating area was sooooo comfortable and we loved all the board games and painting supplies..... overnight we discovered our artistic talents. Mary generously supplied with breakfast supplies and the cider ..... thank you so much. We loved the cosy dressing gowns which came in handy when we made the very short walk to the immaculately clean purpose built shower and toilet building complete with utility area. All in all a perfect chill out weekend lots or walks nearby and soooo quiet. We will be back.
