  Awesome hotel

  I usually stay across the street at a competitor's every year when I come but this year I decided to stay at this location knowing that they just had a full remodel and I'm glad I did. Even though they might not have a indoor pool and jacuzzi like I love they still have all the top of manatees a wonderful restaurant which I'll be doing a second review of and the rooms are just spectacular just so comfortable so clean large TV the shower is top-notch so I highly recommend this hotel

  Amazing Staff!

  Wonderful stay! The location is perfect! Walking distance to many restaurants. Megan at the Butcher and Bull in the hotel has created amazing craft cocktails. The Smokey Margarita is a must have!! The rooms were a nice size and very clean. The staff is sooo nice and helpful. Always smiling and offering assistance. Room service comes in to go containers ...but does not have a big service fee. $5 if you want it delivered to door. Food was really good but limited options for vegetarians. I will stay at this hotel again!

  Very disappointed

  I've always had good luck with Marriott hotels but I have been trying for a week to make a reservation at this hotel with a group rate. For some reason the national reservations number doesn't have our group rate info, for an upcoming conference we have at this hotel. They told me to call the hotel directly, but I've tried that, and half of the time the front desk operator doesnt even answer, and when they have, they have told me a lady's name I need to ask for, and also the hotel manager. The front desk person has transferred me numerous times to this lady and the hotel manager, neither of which have ever called me back. If I miss the cut off for the group rate, which is almost $20 less than the regular rate, plus includes breakfast for 2, it will cost me a good bit extra just because they cant seem to call me back. My conferences are usually at other Marriott hotels in the area and so far, I'd definitely recommend making a different choice if possible!

  Great city views!

  We stayed overnight just one night, but it was a great stay. This is during the coronavirus pandemic and I was pretty nervous about having to travel a few hours from home, let alone stay in a hotel. But there weren't many people around in this huge and beautiful 18 floor Marriott. They have the front door locked. The front desk person, wearing a mask, lets you in. We could leave the car right in the front where you get valet or drive thru when you arrive since there is no valet service available right now, for just $10. The front desk person was very nice too. The bed, very comfortable and the room, very clean. The view is AWESOME from the 5th floor. The only reason I didn't rate the stay a 5 is because the tv channels kept cutting out and the channel guide said "to be announced" for every channel. The front desk did offer to let us change rooms, but we were already settled in. No bar or restaurants open in the hotel right now, due to the pandemic. But we easily ordered delivery thru doordash and they brought it right to our door. Thank you, Marriott, for maintaining such a clean and safe hotel during these crazy times.

  Nice Hotel - Masks Mandatory or Required?

  I chose this hotel brand after reading the safety protocols that were put in place because of COVID-19. Masks required, contactless checkin, rooms sanitized and sealed. While the hotel is very nice with big comfy updated rooms, Im still not convinced that the safety practices were in place. I encountered several guests without masks and there is a sign on the door to parking lot saying that masks are encouraged. I had to stop by front desk to verify items and I guess I dont know how a room that has been sanitized differs from any other hotel room Ive entered. I would also note that there were hairs - not mine on the shower wall. The hotel is conveniently located near great restaurants and the downtown happenings. Overall, the hotel is a nice hotel and perhaps under different circumstances Id rate it higher. However, right now safety for me is first and Im not sure the steps communicated were actually in place.
