  good hotel

  Great Hotel in an ideal location very central well 10 min walk Rooms are well equipped the only down side to the hotel is the Staff management very rude the Bar staff on the other hand are exceptionally friendly. Pool and spa great after a day Skiing

  Only get what you pay for!

  Id give this a 3 star for the following reasons: The apartments are basic, clean but not very well equipped. We didnt even have bowls for our breakfast and when we asked reception they couldnt be bothered to accommodate us! Also make note that towels are only changed every 3 days and not daily. Beds are very comfy, which isnt the case in all hotels in this resort. Staff could be a lot more welcoming and helpful. The spa is ok but as others have noted, looks a bit tired. Needs a good clean. The bus up to gondola leaves the apartments every half hour and we found it very useful. The apartments are quite central and youve got some great places to eat and pubs near. Would I return? Yes, if I was on a budget. If your budget allows, I would book the Strazhite or Lion. You only get what you pay for at the end of the day.

  Good value for money, pleasantly surprised.

  I was a bit sceptical before arriving after reading some of the reviews. We usually go 4 star or higher so also knew we had to manage our expectations. On arrival late at night, we were shown to our room where we had to go outside and carry our cases up some outside steps (not ideal). There was a lift in the building to our 4th floor, however this wouldn't fit all our luggage and us in ! We were pleasantly surprised when we reached our room. Very spacious and exactly what we needed and more. Our double room was upstairs with our own bathroom and the kids shared a room downstairs that has a bathroom adjacent too. There's very little in the way of extras , which I guess why it was so cheap. Just a few pots, pans and cutlery. There's 2 hob rings and a microwave and fridge (with a small freezer section). No hairdryer and just one fairly small towel each. Still, we didn't find any of this a problem. I asked the maid for extra pillows which she happily obliged. The hotel itself has a small pool and spa. I had an amazing massage here for just 40lev (around £20). It was the best massage I'd ever had and sorted my aches and pains out from learning to ski! The staff spoke basic English and to be honest not that friendly but again not a problem really. We had what we needed. There's a shuttle bus free to the gondala and back. The times are on reception on a card. It's not a long walk at all to the gondola but saves your back having to carry all your ski equipment ! The hotel is in a great location close to all the bars and restaurants but in a quiet location being about 10 min walk ish to the main bit. We recommend ginger to eat and 360 bar for cheap drinks (2 beers for 5 Lev !!) If it was cheap enough, we would definitely stay here again.

  Some good some great some bad

  We were pleasently surprised with our apartment when we arrived it was very spacious and very clean. As we arrived late at night I had only my card no cash. Went to the lobby bar that only takes cash but the bar man was absolutley fantastic and offered me 2 bottles of water and I could drop the cash back the next day after I had been to the ATM. I made sure to gice hik a good tip after this. He was really the only member of staff that engaged with us during the whole stay apart from another security guard who was a nice guy too. The rest just kept their heads down and wouldn't even make eye contact. We made good use of the shuttle bus to and from the gondola each morning and evening. When exiting the hotel if you take the dirt track to the left it will take you alot less time to get to the bars and restaurants around the gondola. There is a sign pointing to a supermarket so you cannot miss this track. Now the bad.. After skiing on our 2nd day we decided to use the swimming pool. On arrival to the spa we were met with 4 members of staff who were advertising the massages etc. When we said we only wanted to use the pool you would have thought we had just told them we had coronavirus. The male pointed to the changing rooms so we went in. When in I noticed that you needed a key for the locker and asked another guy there how he got his key and he advised going out to the staff I had just spoken to. I went out and asked for a key to be told by a very rude male "Im busy". So busy that he turned away and sat on his seat chatting to the other staff. This was enough for me so decided against even going into the pool so I waited for my wife to come out then went back to our room. This experience wont stop me coming back to the hotel itself but I have seen other reviews mentioning how rude the staff are so I would hope that it would be addressed.

  Mixed review. Good and bad

  The apartment was beautiful with very good daily service and regular change of towels. Pool was lovely, though pool attendant not always present. The bar manager couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful - he is the best thing about this place. On the downside, the food was always tepid and therefore diffucult to eat (9 year old son couldn't cope with cold rice and chicken for evening meal), the reception staff were not always helpful - it depended on who you asked as to whether or not you could be helped. On a wider perspective, we came during the UK half term and our observation is that the whole resort is ill equipped to cope with the number of skiers. Waiting for 2 hours or more for the Gondola to get up the mountain in the morning is just not good enough. Would not put my child through this again and will not be returning. Yes, it's cheap, but now we know why!
