Magical weekend! An amazing experience at this hotel. We visited at the weekend from Friday - Sunday with our dog. It is in the middle of a beautiful woodland with quick access to many towns nearby. All requests made prior to arriving were met and we were even provided with a tin of dog food for our stay! The food is exquisite, we had room service on the first evening as we arrived late and ate in the restaurant on the 2nd evening. Both meals were to die for! Not to mention the luxurious breakfast in the morning with every taste preference catered for. BUT, what made the weekend the most special was how wonderful the staff were when my partner asked for their assistance in asking me to marry him. They went out of their way to find him the perfect setting - big shout out to Dylano for being modest and helpful. You guys are amazing. Thank you so much for every bit of help received. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. 10/10.

Mixed FeelingsPros: This is a quaint old farmhouse property with comfortably renovated rooms around a little courtyard with fire pits where you can relax with your peeps after a long day of exploring beautiful Limburg. The check-in process was touchless (nice to have during COVID-19). The beds were very comfortable and we drew the blackout curtains when we wanted to sleep past dawn. The restaurant served a delicious dinner and the subterranean bar is super cozy. The service at dinner was absolutely perfect, and I have to give a special shout out to the young lady with the gold wireframe glasses who served our party. She was very professional and genuinely sweet; she made us feel right at home. Cons: When we checked in for our 2-night family stay, front desk staff asked us to reserve dinner for that evening and breakfast for both mornings, making no mention of the fact that there was no availability in the restaurant for the following evening. When the next evening arrived and I asked if dinner would be at the same time as the preceding day, I was informed that there were no reservations available. I went to speak to the front desk and they asked me if I had read the email that was sent when I had reserved the room. Yes, I had read the email, and when we checked in the front desk made reservations for our meals. Front desk declined to mention that dinner would be unavailable in their onsite restaurant for guests staying at the hotel the following night. Sure, I understand its during COVID and public health restrictions dictate less availability of indoor space. My feedback to the management is to 1) communicate much more clearly *upon check-in* so guests can make alternative plans in advance, 2) show some accountability when guest expectations arent met, rather than doubling down on you should have read the email, and 3) make the in-room dining option more pleasant. As it was, it felt like I was being blamed for the staffs failure to appropriately set guest expectations. We ended up eating dinner served in one of our rooms on plates in our laps, as they didnt have carts or tables. It was very much a 5-star dining experience the first night, and a 2-star dining experience the second night. There was also a weird incident at breakfast the next morning that someone in my family saw but I did not. There was a squeeze-your-own-orange-juice machine at the buffet and one of the breakfast staff got angry and loud at a guest who tried to use it. If there is something on the buffet floor that guests shouldnt use, it should just be covered or at least have a sign on it, right? Again, a communication failure coupled with subpar service. All in all, we had a mostly good experience but with enough cringey weirdness to leave a bit of a bad taste and take my 5-star review down to a 3-star.

Lovely place even with lockdown restrictionsWe spent Christmas at the hotel (5 days) and hospitality was quite constrained at this point. The lovely restaurants could not be open and instead takeaway food was placed outside ones door. The choices were great and some of the best things off restaurants menus were on the available. We managed to have 3 courses each night in our room at our lovely table. The courses came every half hour and the chef even made special seafood dishes for us. The hotel is incredibly dog friendly and the staff were really lovely. We really look forward to staying at the hotel when lockdown is over since the ambiance is curtailed when one has eat in the hotel room all the time.

Dutch charms all the wayMy husband and I decided to get out of the house during second confinement and spent a night in this super cute and charming place. Nestled in the middle of wood with many walking and bike paths even during winter it was super refreshing. We had a private dinner in our suite (government mesures oblige) consisting of small Italian plates, I have to say the raviolis were delightful. Our junior suite was so cozy and a perfect for a winter night. We will certainly recommend it and come back in the future.
