  One of the best drive-in properties in Shimla at an excellent location. Had a very pleasant stay. Very good service and amazingly cooperative staff. The hotel is very well maintained and the food is sumptuous. Got a chance to have a conversation with the owner who happened to be very cordial and hospitable. Overall I had a wonderful experience staying at Hotel Wingait Inn and Im really looking forward to visit again on a personal trip with family and friends.

  Best place for location, courteous staff and world best food

  I booked this place for my parents who are senior citizens now...and like many other Punjabis equipped with knee issues.. So this place was a choice due to its close proximity to railways station (not more than 5 mins by cab). The staff was so courteous that they booked the room at ground floor (on request, without any hassles) owing to parents's old age... The rooms were elegant - spacy and classy with beautiful wooden furniture... Food as described by my parents was awesome... the hotel being located on VIP road is never busy.... Besides this the scenic beauty is also awesome... Valleys are also visible from the rooms.. We would definitely look forward to book a rooom for our stay with this hotel in future as well...

  Best Location

  Stayed one night..... Location- excellent location- a small hotel with parking (can park approx 6 cars) near to the Mall, Mall road, Railway Station .... Room- clean and well maintained Restaurant- very small but room service is good and can serve traditional meal Staff- helpful staff

  Exceeded expectations

  Ever since COVID HIT this was my first trip out of Gurgaon. THE FIRST CALL: I called Mr Bansal (he is a part of the top management) so many times with various questions I had and each time I was greeted with a smile but that was not all. He guided my up to the hotel when I lost my way. CHECK IN: At check-in I was greeted by Mr Banerjee. A person with a contagious personality and ever smiling. He mentioned about the protocols they follow related to covid which was in line with the government. I was greeted with a surprise upgrade to their executive room with valley view whereas I had booked 2 delux rooms. To be honest all their rooms have valley view. I recommend the rooms on the first floor since they have a better view. ROOMS: Considering, it is a budget hotel, I was expecting the rooms to be ordinary but it was just classy and the fact that it has a vintage touch to the interior furnishings made it stand out. I got the opportunity to see the different types of rooms they had to offer. 1. Deluxe 2. Executive 3. Family One thing common in all the rooms was it's cleanliness ( absolutely spotless). Sanitisers in all the rooms. FOOD: Although food ,I thought, was quite expensive, the taste compensated for it . Their chef is amazing . You must try the rajma chawal. I bet u will crave for more. Staff and room service: The staff is extremely friendly helpful . They guided me in every possible way to make my stay worthwhile. Mr Banerjee even offered to drive us to and from the tourism lift for our visit to the mall road. Room service was prompt and professional and greeted us every time they entered our room. FLAWS: THIS WAS A NEW UNDERTAKING HENCE THE LACK OF EXPERIENCE IN THE STAFF WAS QUIET VISIBLE . THE PREVIOUS OWNERS HAD MAINTAINED THE PROPERTY POORLY HENCE COULD SEE A FEW REPAIR WORK NEEDED . GOOD THING WAS THAT THEY HAD ALREADY INITIATED THE REPAIR WHILE I WAS THERE. EXPERIENCE AND RATING: MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS AMAZING . BUT IF I HAVE TO CONSIDER THE FLAWS, I WOULD WANT TO RATING WILL BE AT 4.7 BUT I DON'T HAVE THAT OPTION HERE HENCE RATING 5 PRODIPTO SANYAL

  A stay worthwhile!!!!

  From the start till the end our stay was just amazing. We had booked 2 rooms for our stay. I have been speaking to the owner from the time I decided to book this property and booked directly with them . From the owner to the management everyone was super helpful and extremely polite. They even gave me a surprise by upgrading one of the rooms at the same cost I paid them. The food was amazing . Served with utmost cleanliness. The property was at a very convenient place . Everything that one would wantnat to see is within a radius of 2.5 km Distance from hotel by car 1. Tourism lift : 2.1 km 2. Institute of advanced studies: 800 m 3. Mall road: 2.1 km if u park near tourism lift 4. Bird park: 900 m Overall a brilliant stay... Recommended every time one would visit SHIMLA Prodipto sanyal
