  Location location

  I stayed here for 4 nights accompanied by my adult son for 2 nights and then my husband joined me for the last 2 nights. We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa overlooking the dam. The location is wonderful and only a couple of minutes away from Pokolbin village but secluded enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. The villa is bright and sunny with a balcony that we enjoyed sitting and watching the sunsets and sunrises. The romantic wood fire was definitely used by us and the layout of furnishings comfortable. There are no wardrobes or cupboards in the bedrooms but a couple of wall hooks to hang your clothes for a short stay. The beds were very comfortable and overall we had a lovely refreshed stay. The breakfast supplies were an added treat.

  A hidden gem in the Hunter Valley

  We stayed for a couple of nights in November and were impressed from the moment we arrived. The ease of booking and check in coupled with the cleanliness of the villa was fantastic. The layout of the villa is perfect and the ceiling fans make for a really comfortable stay. The orientation of the bedroom made for a brilliant sight to wake up to each day not to mention the bacon, eggs, muffins and juice provided as part of the package. The location is also brilliant. You cannot go wrong by spending time at Wine Country Villas, I could not recomend it more highly. Darren

  Great stay in a great location!

  We stayed for two nights in one of the villas and had an amazing stay. The villa was spacious yet cozy and had a great view looking out over the bush. It felt private despite being one of eight villas with its own balcony and being so close to everything in Pokolbin. The fireplace kept us warm at night and the provided Bacon and Eggs was a nice bonus to cook for breakfast. The location is so convenient being tucked in behind the Hunter Valley gardens and is only a short drive to the action in Pokolbin, yet it felt secluded and private as a getaway from the hustle and bustle. This was an excellent getaway for a few nights and would highly recommend!

  Nice but not luxury

  We stayed 2 nights in the one bedroom villa - it was clean and basic with a lovely outlook and easy check in and easy access from car. Negatives were tradesmen working on the pool - circular saws and yelling out to each other most of the day, smelly septic tank out the front of our balcony, lounge very uncomfortable for 2 adults to relax in -Strangely positioned - more like waiting for a bus than lounging ! think this would suit a family rather than a couple looking for luxury. A shame as with a few tweaks it could be at the standard of the prices charged ! In the Hunter Valley with such beautiful produce one would hope for more than muffins, bacon and a carton of Just Juice when paying $360 a night. Nice but definitely not luxury.

  Great position

  Stayed 2 nights with children and we couldn't be happier. The rooms where spacious and outlook fantastic from the lounge and kitchen. Breakfast on the verandah each morning was great. well stocked kitchen but close to restaurants and Pokolbin village.
