  Windancer 309 - Needs thorough cleaning and repairs!

  We rented Windancer 309 through Ocean Reef. We had stayed in another condo in the Windancer complex last year but the bed was so uncomfortable. Decided to try another condo. Pictures showed a nice, neat, and clean condo. However, upon arrival this was not the case. This condo needs a thorough cleaning! The bedspread and skirt was dirty, along with the couch and chair. The kitchen sink, fridge, stove, and dishwasher was also dirty. Shower curtain and rug in living room was dirty. You could see nail heads in the drywall that had not been painted, it looked like the wall was dirty. The baseboards and walls need to be cleaned and repainted. The mirror in the bathroom was coming loose from the wall. We contacted Ocean Reef and they sent a housekeeper out to take care of what could be taken care of that evening. Housekeeper even said it needed a thorough cleaning. Ocean Reef did refund 10% of what we paid, but after driving ten hours and expecting a clean, nice place to stay it was very disappointing! For what they charge to stay in these condos they should be pristine!

  Best location for Destin lovers. Unit 112

  We rented from an individual and not ocean Reef. The owners are extremely easy to work with and very responsive. It is ground level unit and directly on the beach. This unit is next to the walkway to the beach and foot wash so it doesnt offer any patio privacy but an opportunity to meet most of the residence who were very friendly. The Windancer is located Away from the Destin crowds. Close to everything you need without the Destin bumper to bumper traffic. Unit 112 has had no updates and desperately needs a deep cleaning. I had to wipe everything down and run vacuum to get up the sand when we arrived. The cleaning service must be the same as the rest of the complex because I talked to a lot of people and they all shared the same complaint of it not being very clean. There is no starter dish soap or dishwasher or paper towels or a kitchen dish cloth. Had to go buy it all before I could make breakfast. so Bring everything you need because it only has toilet paper, 2 travel bars of soap and two trash bags. Nothing else. Bring your hair dryer as there is not one In the unit.

  Very nice and great location #307

  We stayed in 307 for a week. The place is well kept and very well laid out. Very spacious and fully stocked for your stay. Amazing view from the balcony and cable TV for a little down time in the evenings. Great shower stall and washer and dryer came in real handy to keep up with clothes. AC kept us nice and comfortable in the evenings. Handy to the beach and we will definitely recommend this unit to anyone who asks. On the down side. Thought the bed was very uncomfortable. Replacing that would be great. Had a very hard time sleeping at night.

  Windancer delivers again

  Second trip to Windancer. This trip was #403 and let me say its amazing. One little maintenance issue they quickly cured. Smoke detector hanging off the wall. Worked but unsightly and didnt want anyone to think we did it. Little confusing on the beach chairs. Checked in everyday and never made it to the front row of chairs. Asked about it and the reply was confusing. Not a huge issue but for 7 days I would think we would of progressed to the front 403 is a great unit. The vaulted ceiling makes it feel very roomy. Room very well equipped. We didnt cook but noted everything you may ever need was there. Ate out at all the area has to offer in the evenings and nothing is real far away. The place is just as well taken care of and beautiful as last year. Look forward to visiting again and definitely recommend it to others

  Excellent Stay

  We have stayed many times at the Windancer and it is always great. We love how close it is to the beach and the beach is never crowded unlike other places. We had unit 307 and it was recently updated and was perfect!
