    Lovely stay

Only stayed for 1 night as attending a meal nearby. Lovely welcome with offer of tea/coffee on arrival. Kettle/tea/coffee/chilled water and fresh milk all available in the dining room to help yourselves throughout your stay. We stayed in room 5 which had a great 4 poster bed with lovely quality quilt and pillows which was very comfortable. Ensuite facilites were good. Had a lovely quiet and undisturbed sleep. Excellent breakfast starting with choice of fresh cut melon and grape cocktail, yoghurts, bananas, fruit juice and cereal. Large pot of tea and large cafetiere of freshly brewed coffee. Followed by beautifully cooked, well presented, tasty and filling cooked breakfast. Asked how many eggs we required and served the hottest of any breakfast in a b&b we've ever had. Bread and toaster available for you to help yourself if required although both Sue and William asked if we would like them to pop bread in toaster for us. I tried Sue's homemade marmalade which was delicious. Sue and William are excellent hosts and balanced time chatting to us over breakfast without being intrusive. Lovely stay and we would recommend.

    Fantastic hosts

These guys are a huge credit to the B&B industry. We spent 2 nights here over the weekend 7-9 Dec for the Lincoln Christmas market. It's about 12 miles from the city but such an easy ride in. The hospitality was second to none - nothing was too much for these lovely folk. Whether it was advice on places to visit in the local area, offering to make a packed lunch for our daughter or feeding us to our hearts content with gorgeous breakfasts. I have to add Sue's homemade stewed plums and marmalade are amazing! She even gave us a jar of the marmalade to take home, such a kind and caring thought. The rooms were cosy and very clean too. Yes the shower isn't the most powerful, more of a drizzle really but the water was hot and that's ok by us. Highly recommended.

    Lovely stay

Lovely visit to this B&B. I was greeted at the door by Sue and she shown me straight to tea and coffee facilities and into my room. Explained where I could go for a nice dinner and went over what her husband had kindly told me when booking over the phone. Had lovely food in the white swan down the road. Room lovely, a little chilly at first but the heater and heating on and it soon warmed up, especially under a lovely warm duvet. Like with other reviews shower not great pressure wise, but Sue explained how I work this as soon as arrived in room and it was no problem, I had a shower and think such things only add to the character of a lovely old building. Breakfast, wow!! Greeted with such lovely place set, so much fresh fruit, alongside choice of cereal, toast and yogurts as well as a lovely, hot, fresh cooked breakfast. Such a lovely place to stay and when in the area again I would book again. What amazed me was upon booking, hubby (sorry he was lovely but I forgot his name, I think Will) advised the price was £80, no problem at all with this still good value for a stay near to my destination and for brekkie etc, however upon arrival Sue told me it was in fact cheaper. She didn't need to do this as I had agreed to book the £80 and just presumed i read it wrong online, however I think this goes great way to show the integrity and decency of this lovely couple. Would defo recommend and when in the area I would defo return
