  Not one for a light sleeper

  3 nights at Willkens while working in Koln. Very conveniently situated, being right opposite Bonn-Beuel station and tram stops, and easy access to either Bonn or Koln. My room was a good size, clean but not over comfortable. Very high ceilings, so probably not warm in winter. Being by the station, and on the street, noise was always a problem, but sleeping quite deeply I was ok. However, some of the plumbing is not very well routed, or insulated for sound, and when one room above was occupied my night was well broken. Lots of differing places to eat very close by suitable for all tastes and budgets. The included breakfast was excellent... Good friendly service- extremely fast too- and just what you would expect for a 'Full German' breakfast. The proprietor spoke excellent English, and the staff were able to converse well. Big down? No tea/ coffee facilities in the rooms.... However it was available in the bar. The same applied to the wifi, so if your evening is spent surfing with wifi, you either have to do this in the bar, or not at all.

  Quite old

  That was quite an old hotel. Found this one as it was just across the S-bahn station, so I needed to go to Cologne for a fair. Price was great compared to all other hotels during fair time. And that was it. Old rooms, old bathrooms, not a cent invested in the last years. Comofrtable bed - yes, but if you need to stay there more than one night, think twice.

  Clean, simple, quiet and ok

  Stayed for two nights for a business trip to Bonn. Breakfast good and at the end plenty. All I wanted was there. Room was big, old but quiet. Pillow was to soft for me, but I just used the second one. Quite a few restaurants and shopping possibilities. S-Bahn and tram just a minute away, to get you to Cologne or Bonn city. It is an older hotel but friendly. For sure one of the bigest bath rooms I had in a while in such a hotel, but simple.

  Quite Good

  Location: I was travelling to Sankt-Augustin daily, so multiple bus and tram stops in the vicinity were handy; the city centre is also easily reachable, on foot as well as by public transportation - Staff: very friendly - Breakfast

  Good to stay

  The room was very clean, I noticed a very positive , and spacious for a single room . The division was good : bed, desk , additional small table with 2 comfortable chairs , storage for suitcases , and - still plenty of room for my yoga mat ! The staff was friendly , courteous and very natural - exactly as I appreciate it. For my questions I get support and I felt welcome . At breakfast special requests were easily picked up and immediately satisfied - very nice ! And , yes, there are 3 types of homemade jam for breakfast , great!
