  A countryside experience

  We loved it. We had an excellent meal out in the dark. The staff was ever so nice. We even learnt how to cook a traditional dish. We saw traditional farming. A great experience! Harriet Morch, Randi Kristensen, Mie Forberg, Norway

  Hotel is past his glory years

  The hotel is hidden somewhere in de woods and very hard to find. The people from the hotel spoke no english but were very friendly. We came after dark and felt very isolated. The rooms have an outdoor bathroom, which could be nice, but it was full of frogs, spiders and mousqitos. Rooms have no airco. We believe this place had its glory days, but now no tourists come anymore and therefore its falling in decay.

  Not for the comfort concious

  This property was selected by our travel agent so any negativity is directed toward them rather than the hotel itself. We had given the travel agent clear instructions as to the type of accommodation we expected while visiting Yala National Park. For some unknown reason we were put into Wild Escape an hour out of Tissmaharana. This property is more aligned to a farm stay than a hotel. The rooms do not have hot water, airconditioning, or wifi. Our room was dark and quite stuffy, and the fan could not cope with freshening it up. However there are outdoor areas with tables, chairs and benches, so it is not necessary to spend time in the room other than for sleeping. The bed sinks in the middle. The staff [owners?] were very pleasant and tried their best to attend to us, however their lack of English made this difficult at times. This would be a great place to stay if you know what you are getting and are happy with that.

  A beautiful bungalow in the village

  We traveled as a group over the weekend and had an amazing time.. The lodge has 4 bungalows with 5 rooms spacious even for 20 people to stay.. 2 Rooms are air conditioned with hot water, Living area. The Main bungalow house the reception and dining. They serve a variety of local cuisines and made a special arrangement for a BBQ dinner in a hut area overlooking the river.. The property is just 20 min away from the Yala Block 4 entrance ( Galge).. a peaceful setting to relax and unwind..

  Good stay near Yala Galge Entrance

  Wildescape was our choice of stay when we visited Yala Block 5 in October 2019. The staff was friendly and courteous. They didnt understand english but could communicate well. Not many guests visit this facility. Finding it was difficult as there is no Google location or signboards. But the property is rustic and beautiful. The Menik Ganga river flows through the property. No aircon, but it had rained that day so weather was pleasant. Yala Block 5 Galge entrance is just 10 mins drive from here. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Mosquitoes were a problem. Overall a good place to stay for one night if you are visiting Yala block 5.
