  Friendly atmoshpere

  I enjoyed my stay at Wida Resort, I was in Nairobi for a few days, and so I just needed somewhere close to town, comfortable and had my basic needs (wifi, safe, breakfast and dinner). The place is situated 5 mins from the city center so it was really ideal for me. There was shops and malls around, so I walkedto the shops. It is a safe and clean negibourhood and quiet at night. I enjoyed the breakfast and the room service. The bedroom was at a good standard. There prices are really fair for the area. I would encourage business people to try the place and it is convenient for traveling to town or having meetings. Overall it was a good place.

  Amazing place away from the city and the staff good too especially faith at the reception and Antony the waiter but exceptional service from SARAH the waitress .I will and would recommend this place to friends.

  We travelled as a large group in July/August. We were booked in here for our first and last night of voluntary work in Kenya to be close to Nairobi airport. Check in is fine and the receptionist friendly. However, none of the rooms reflect the photos pictured on Trip Advisor. Theyre tired and cold. In both rooms we stayed in there was nothing holding the shower head up and there werent seats for the toilets. The water in the shower went all over the floor as well, and would drag into the carpet in the bedroom. Many of the rooms our volunteers stayed in didnt have hot water (even with the switch turned on.) The food was poor, and the smoke in the main restaurant is overpowering from the fire in the centre, and leaves you smelling. The decorations in the main breakfast buffet room are tired as well. There are lots of other motels around Nairobi - try another.

  Urine soaked rooms at $45

  I walked in to this hotel thinking I may get an "ok" place for my wife and I to rest for the night and was told it is Ksh 4,500. "That's fair", I thought to myself. Only to be taken to a room that had this heavy pungent smell of urine. I'm not talking about an unflushed toilet, We could smell it in the corridor even before the door was opened. And the guy who opened the door stood there with a stupid look on his face like he was expecting a tip or something! Now, it takes a whole lot for me to complain but this was just unbelievable. Going back to the reception to request for another room, we were treated like we had some delusions of grandeur. Like a urine soaked room should have been good enough and we were so rude to ask for better. The staff were exceptionally unpleasant as they talked among themselves whispering this and that about us. I really, really would have preferred to go elsewhere but here I am at 5 am writing a review because I have not been able to sleep. So many other things have been compromised at this hotel that the urine is just a distraction. I am just waiting for sunrise to hit the road and take a shower. My suggestion to you: drive past.
