  Solid, good price

  Solid place to stay. Very light continental breakfast included. Bed is fine. Room is spacious and includes two electric burners plus a fridge which is nice if you want to cook lunch or a heartier breakfast.

  For what it is, great! Clean rooms, quiet night, good experience.

  Had to book an unexpected emergency night here when freezing rain and unplowed Vermont highways made us stop in our tracks for the night on our journey to Massachusetts. White River Inn and Suites is located in a cluster of giant hotels, so there is a lot of competition, and this place seemed the best value in terms of what you got for your money...we were not disappointed. Clean room with kitchenette, laundry service, pool (neither of which we used), passable breakfast (about on par with most budget hotel "continental breakfasts"), friendly staff...only complaint was that the little food store in the lobby practices highway robbery with its prices (EIGHT DOLLARS for a cruddy bowl of boil-in-the-box pho noodles!) but unless you, like us, are there on the night of a major snowstorm, you can probably go out for, or order in, much more reasonable food.

  Skip this place

  My 6 month stay seemed like a year. Dont trouble yourself with this place. You can hear people through the vents. If your upstairs neighbors walk heavy you will hear each and every step. Facilities such as washers and dryers are often broken. Housekeeping was lack luster at best. Another guest (new to the establishment) approached me to ask if I was experiencing the same thing as her. Too bad there aren't too many other options for long term stays in the area.

  Great hotel

  Great value at this hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable, my friend and I were appreciative of the room upgrade to a suite!! Nice continental breakfast in the morning and a basket of fresh apples near the fireplace in the lobby all day. We felt safe and secure and the hotel was very quiet. This hotel is about 10 minutes to the King Arthur Flour facility (we were in town to take a 3 day class there). Well definitely stay here again.

  Ladies learning weekend

  4 of us stayed here for two nights while taking a cooking class at nearby King Arthur Flour Baking School. The staff was friendly and responsive. The whole place was very clean and pleasant. We swam in the heated pool, which was also very clean and well kept. There were a few families swimming when we arrived on Friday evening! Our room was very big. A full kitchen (with some plates, cups, etc. in the cabinets) and living room and two queen size beds and a full bath. Nothing fancy but all were clean and in good working order. The beds were comfortable. I would have liked a handicapped height toilet (but we did not ask for a handicapped accessible room). The breakfast is continental- not a full hot breakfast- but plentiful! Instant oatmeal and fresh (self-made)waffles. Hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, cereal, danish, coffee and tea. Im sure Ive forgotten some. Again, not fancy, but good and tasty stuff. My only criticism here is this. The hotel is in an area with four other hotels up the same driveway. The signage is clear for the others. The signage for this one was lacking. Nothing over or on the doors or directly on the building itself. After pulling in and turning around in the parking lot, we saw a large sign at the front of the building that had no lights. Never saw it driving up to the road or driveway! There was some snowfall overnight and we were worried about leaving Sunday am, but the lot had been plowed and the sidewalks were cleared by checkout time. All in all a well maintained, clean, friendly place to stay!
